Very durable work shorts - I use them for construction, yard work, etc. and they've performed well. Minor snags from things like thorns or small nails are no problem. They are tough enough to hold up but also comfortable enough for all-day workwear. Not very stretchy so after each laundering they are a little snug for the first 30 minutes, particularly if you have a little junk in the trunk.

nice material but shallow pockets, keys fall out of front one, zipper one is weird, back ones are also shallow. So great shorts unless you need to actually put stuff in the pockets. Kinda a bad trait in workwear. But nice material, well made, fit as expected or possibly a little bigger than expected. Guess I'll stick to Carhartt.

I purchased these 42" ATG shorts in the same style and size of the ATG pants I had just got. The shorts were considerably snugger than the pants and the material was different. The shorts had more of a denim feel to them. That being said, they seemed well built. I would assume that I would need to bump up to the next size to get them to fit like the pant.

I bought these because I have the pants version and I quite like them for work. They are durable and tough. They hold up well to heavy use and abuse. I work in construction and they have lasted well. These shorts fit a bit tighter than expected. Tighter than the pants fit which is strange. But ultimately they are great. They stretch, but only a little bit. You won’t be doing any high kicks or fancy moves in them, but for hiking and working they are solid. I would say buy the size you are normally and they should be fine, I am an unusual case because I have a small waist and large legs so it makes shorts difficult.
