I was hoping that with a 12" drum you'd be able to fit a substantial amount of cable on here, but our 90m ethercon takes up 90% of the space on it. The inner diameter of the drum is laughable, maybe 9" at best, tell me how you're supposed to fit 200m of anything on this reel without it being sewing thread.I bought two of these and they both have the same issues. The center of gravity is way off, it tips over constantly, especially when there isn't much weight on the drum. The knob is not free-spinning and will unscrew itself when you're reeling in a cable. Either the drum itself is out of round, or the axle is bent, making the drum wobble and catch on the rubber friction brake unless it's screwed all the way out. The bolt holding the drum to the frame backed out entirely, I had to reinstall it with loctite and hope it doesn't come out again. Whatever bearing setup they use doesn't allow you to fully tighten this bolt, so it has to remain loose in order for the drum to spin freely.All in all, you won't find a reel this size for less, but at least know that you're getting the best that china has to offer for bottom-dollar engineering.

I bought one to hold 300-feet of RG-6 SDI video cable. It fit fine, but any more would start to be too much. The little clips on the outside work great for holding 6-feet of cable coming from the inside (allowing 100-feet of cable to be used with another 200-feet remaining on the reel), while keeping the cable out of the way when winding the other end onto the outside of the reel. Only one complaint -- the handle for turning the reel doesn't freely spin. If you wind the cable in the "right" direction, the handle tightens and your fingers need to slip on the outside of the handle. Start the cable to wind in the wrong direction, and the handle falls off after 4-5 turns of the reel.It's all steel, and very robust, but not light. Probably the only solution on Amazon that will work with 300-feet of RG-6 SDI cable and provide adequate protection.

I'm not sure why we didn't think of buying one of these sooner. It's very sturdy and holds 100 ft. of cord. It rolls easily and makes storing our extension cord compact.

The handle could be larger and the little hooks fall off very easily.Other than that it’s a great piece and price!! I have purchased 3 of them now. Great for all types of cords.
