We used it to rub this SRT out after paint work.. just wish the sheets were bigger. They are pretty small in size..

Backstory: I was trying to use my acrylic magnetic cleaner to clear some algae at the front of my betta acrylic tank, but was a bit careless and got too close to the gravel. I didn't notice that the magnetic cleaner had picked up a few small pieces of gravel on it... until the dreaded trail of scratches appeared wherever the magnetic cleaner was dragged. I immediately stopped and was devastated by the ugly scratches across the front of the tank considering my acrylic tank was still pretty new and had been an expensive investment that I couldn't just simply buy a replacement for. I researched and found that people had successfully used increasing grits of fine sandpaper (specifically wet-dry versions that are able to be used underwater without disintegrating) to gently buff scratches and scuffs out of the acrylic - all without needing to drain the tank of water or remove any fish. I was very nervous and hesitant as research suggested it would look worse, before it got better using this method (wet-sanding)... but I couldn't figure out a better way to undo the damage and so we come to this kit.Per my research for light/mild scratches (which is what I had) it was recommended to start with 1500 or 2000 grit - I started with the 1500 grit and slowly and carefully went over the whole trail of scratches until they were blurred and blended out, then went over again with 2000 grit, then 2500 grit, and 3000 grit - by this point I couldn't see any of the original scratches anymore but the sanded areas were a bit hazy. Finished up with a round of 5000 grit, looking much better, 7000 grit - haze almost all gone, and then one final polishing with the 10000 grit - the front of the tank looks good as new, maybe not quite as perfect as new but very darn close, and I couldn't see any of the scratches or hazing anymore. It was like I had pressed CTRL Z and reverted the tank back to before the goof-up with the gravel and magnetic cleaner. It did take a bit of time and effort to buff the scratches out but it was well worth the effort. The sandpaper integrity held throughout the process (and it looks like I can still use the same pieces some more) and yes it was fully submerged during use. I was impressed, and glad that this method was free of chemicals. My aquarium water was a bit cloudy/hazy afterwards, possibly from the fine acrylic powder floating around, but per my research and observations, it didn't bother my betta who was in the tank during the whole process (and other people attested that fish do not need to be removed during the wet-sanding process). I did perform a partial water change after the completion of the sanding and my betta is not acting any differently. There's plenty more of the sandpaper left so I can use it again if needed, but I will definitely be more careful with my acrylic tank going forward. Still it gives me some peace of mind.

good quality especially for the price, and the range of grits make it perfect for a large variety of uses, it also preforms great when wet.
