The price and the space were almost too hard to believe. I wasn't born yesterday, buddy. I know you're going to send me a cheap piece of junk....but NOOOO! I was wrong and happily so. I use this hard drive to hold all of my media for my Plex Server and its great. The speed is fast. The case and LED lights are aesthetically pleasing on my desk. It's small enough that it tucks right in next to my desktop. I dumped my old HD onto it and downloaded another few TB's of media and it's still has more space free than my last HD had altogether. I was worried by some of the reviews but have no fear. This drive is great! It's fast enough to stream all of my media at HD or 4K over WiFi and remotely to my followers with no lag. If you are thinking this is too good to be true...you'd be wrong like I was. Bite the bullet and buy one. You won't be disappointed.

Very good price per gigabit (currently $10/tb) and works excellently as a long term storage device. Read/write speeds are very slow for modern HDDs maxing out at approximately 41 mebibytes per second after the ~12gb cache is used up. While the cache is still free it can easily copy a dozen gb in a few seconds. I tested the read/write speeds in Windows 10 when it was formatted in NTFS and exFAT and tested it in NTFS, exFAT, ext4, and zfs formats in Linux Mint 21. Speeds were consistent in all formats and 10% faster in Linux.After testing the drive, the first thing I used it for was backing up 3tb of data and it took a little over 26 hours. The volume I copied from was an SSD and the external drive was connected to a USB 3.0 slot on the computer so the slow speed was entirely on the external drive. Another positive is that it was able to maintain a healthy temperature for the entire 26 hour straight write operation.The blue light on the case isn't to my taste and there's no easy way to disable it.

This drive works well in Windows and performs very well in Ubuntu, too. It has an on/off switch that allows a more safe start. Its 14 TB storage capacity has a very good quality-price balance. I totally recommend this product.

So far so good. I have this for a couple of weeks and is working fine. I install pc games on it and no issues with games or the storage. Only time will tell how long will last but it was a good deal for the price.

i bought this hard drive last week,and its great. you just plug it up,and my win 11 pc recognized it. i bought cause i lost like 4 tbs of games cause my win 11 pc with 2 wd drives suddenly stopped working after a new windows update. but im glad i brought cause i got rid of 2 drives,and i got 13 tb of storage. so i downloaded 5 tb of PC games and still got about 8+ tb of space left. it is also the fastest had i ever had cause it downloads more faster then any had i owned along with my 1 gb speed internet. it downloaded a 139 gb in about 40-45 mins, another great thing is it has its own power so your system power it not affected. its just a good solid hd so it gets 5 stars from me, and my PC storage will last a lifetime for me. a good buy and 5 stars.
