This corner unit was bought to complement the Bambusi bathroom stool. If you need a shower stool this is not the item to buy. The construction is not adequate for the stress of supporting your weight! It is however a perfectly adequate corner table. Easy to assemble and a good protective finish on the bamboo. Do not expect this to survive if you keep it inside a shower stall or a bathroom that has constant high humidity. There are plenty of reviews that illustrate what will happen; mould and unsightly staining.We use the stool outside the shower area. If you need an item for sitting on inside your shower then the only practical and sensible solution is to buy a proper medical type device - plastic and aluminium construction. Those last forever!The corner unit is a very simple construction and its strength relies entirely on the screws that hold the legs to the shelves. The Bambusi stool has a much more sturdy design and no visible fastener heads.Great products if you use them outside the shower.

I was hoping that this would be treated to not mold, but the cut-out sections are raw and even the treated sections got mold within a couple of weeks even with cleaning afterwards. It looks pretty ugly, but it does the job, so there’s that.*Edited to say that they have excellent customer service - I feel like I could have had this resolved much earlier if I had contacted them directly

Total waste of money! I threw the stool away in just a couple of months (of course too late for the return window). It molded very quickly and no cleaner would get rid of the mold, including bleach and mold/mildew remover.While it was the perfect size to fit in the corner of our new shower, it was very unstable and tipped forward when I put my foot on it, which is annoying since the reason I bought it is to put my foot on it when I'm shaving my legs. It also immediately got stains from the water, which is also annoying since it's literally meant to be in the water. My final annoyance is the design of the grooves - they do a poor job of draining the water, so the stool is now a mildew magnet. It would be better if it didn't have any grooves and you could just wipe the water off the top. I don't recommend this unless it's not going to get wet and you'll never touch it.

It says water proof and for the shower but it’s not. It looks great at first and then one day you notice discoloration. Then you notice the mold growing. I usually read reviews but I must have missed them on this. It’s a nice table for a bathroom but not meant for the shower. I am currently cleaning it with mold cleaner / bleach. It may kill what ever is there but it is in the material and not scrubbing off and not bleaching out. Once it dries I will spray it /paint it with a clear water proofing substance to prevent any further mold issues. Not sure if Flex seal spray will work but considering the money I spent on this table, I don’t want to throw it away if I can help it. If you buy this table, make sure to properly water proof it before putting it in a humid or wet environment.

Arrived sooner than expected. Very nice, sturdy. Easy to assemble (I'm guessing - my husband actually put it together before I got home and he didn't complain one bit - so we'll call that easy!). Bottom shelf is large enough to hold full size shampoo and body wash bottles with pumps.
