Purchased these to help build our daughters play house. They made the building process much easier and faster. They are very good quality and sturdy. Perfect fit for the boards as well.

The welds are almost not there. And these are supposed to support 4x4's with a load. Had to reweld all of these. No way these would of held any load, let alone the 4x4 buy itself. Luckily I have a welder!

I have used other post bases of this type and this style is a bit different.My biggest concern is that this style of base does NOT incorparate a support ring under the bottom plate.( The support ring is a raised ridge around the center hole in the bottom plate.)The support ring would keep the base plate from bowing down or blowing out under high loads, for that reason I feel like these are best suited for fence post and light duty jobs. I wold NOT use these to build any kind of structure walls or pergola. (At least not without stacking some washers under the raised bottom plate to keep it from collapsing.)
