Great battery, lightweight, has a protection circuit in it and its holding up great on my automatic gate opener.

I got this to use for my emergency ham radio setup. I have several solar panels to keep it charged. It works really good especially with quiet, clean pure DC. I also like that LiFePO4 have a longer life span which gives me more confidence that it will work when I really need it.

The first thing I do before I do any other tests on a battery is I check its voltage after I unpack it. By the way, this battery came well packed and probably would have survived being thrown around like a football! This battery came in with 13.4 volts static charge. For this type of battery that is at least 90% charge. Since it was essentially at full charge, I decided to do a measured discharge. As a 20 amp battery, i went for a 75% discharge which was 15 AH. At the end of the discharge cycle, and a short rest to recover voltage I checked its voltage. It was still at 13.2v! That correlates to still being at 50%, or 10 AH left! That tells me that this battery will give you at minimum the advertised 20AH, and maybe as much as 30AH! That is quite amazing, and leads me to perhaps believe that it will make the 10000 advertised discharge cycles, which is a huge amount of use. If you ran it through one full charge and discharge cycle per day, that would be more than 25 years of life! Probably won't do that, but fun to think about. While this battery is a bit more expensive than other similar ones, I think based on my tests it may be made with much higher quality batteries. Therefore, I definitely recommend this battery!

The battery arrived in a sturdy box lined with 20mm foam packing all around. I saved the box for when I want to portage the battery. The charge was about 80%.As stated in the manual, maximum charging amps for this battery is 5a. I have a 3a LiFeP04 specific charger. The battery showed as fully charged after a few hours. (I did not time it.)The voltage reading after charging was 14.1 volts and after resting overnight was 14.0 volts.Terminals are screw type *similar* to those found on motorcycle and snowmobile batteries. All other small 12volt batteries that I have are terminated with 'quick-connect' lugs and are rated 7ah or less. I wired together some jumpers to adapt my applications to the new terminals.I applied several scenarios to the battery life and capacity.Operating a 6w 12v LED light bulb for a few hours made a negligible decrease in the capacity.Operating a 12v communications radio on *receive only*, the battery continued to provide sufficient power for 26 hours intermittently over the course of several days.I connected a 48 watt 12 volt LED light like you would find on an ATV or tractor, etc. There are 16 bright LEDs in the light and output is rated at 10,000LM. It was on for 5 hours.Using a buck converter, I charged my phone. The one test that drew down the power of the battery was when connected to a 300 watt inverter and operating a 60 watt AC light bulb. That was a short testing interval. After this amount of testing, the remaining charge on the battery is 13.2 volts and 70%.I am impressed with the results.
