I got this for my Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 3 speaker that stopped working a few years ago. I cannot confirm whether the battery worked or not because I was unable to get my speaker to power on even with a new power supply and battery. However, I’ll note 3 things about this battery. The first is that it has a higher amp hour rating than the HK battery that came with the speaker. Theoretically, then, it should last longer on battery power than the OEM battery. But I have no way of knowing with the bricked speaker. The second is that the battery came with a plastic shim to facilitate removal of the grill. That worked well. The 3rd is that it also came with a mini Philips screwdriver to remove the speaker face from the backing. Unfortunately, the Onyx uses mini hex screws and this screwdriver didn’t work. I had to use a hex from my bike repair kit. Other than that, I’m sure this would be a nice battery since it is more powerful than the one it replaces from the manufacturer.

This Battery for Harman Kardon Onyx, New Upgraded (4200mAh) High Capacity Battery seems to be the perfect replacement for my dead battery. The installation is seamless and easy to do yourself. Remove the speaker cover, the remove the rubber grommets that cover the Phillip head screws. the speaker comes apart be careful to unplug the connector cables that connect to the inner part of the speaker. Open the compartment that house the old battery by removing the screws. I even able to use the tape wrapped around the previous wire connector for the battery carefully wrapped it around the new battery wire connectors placed the battery in the housing cradle. closed everything back up turned on the power and I once again have the use of using the Harmon Cardon speaker without having it continually plugged in. (word of advice when not using the speaker do not leave it plugged in this prevent overcharging the battery and ultimately killing the battery) I like that the replacement battery connection cable is pretty long so you're not having to try to connect a short cable that does not give you much of an angle to line everything back up to close the speaker housing back together. Once I was able to determine the battery works I put everything back together and can now once again enjoy the amazing sound these speakers put out. This Battery for Harman Kardon Onyx, New Upgraded (4200mAh) High Capacity Battery is a great replacement ordered an at excellent price point, plus you get 4200mAh vs 3000mAH found in other batteries offered at the same price point of this battery . Definitely a better value and price. So I would recommend this replacement battery. This was a great find highly recommended.
