Okay, so I snagged this Beelink Mini S13 for my office setup, and honestly, I'm pretty impressed. Right out of the box, Windows 11 booted up smoothly, and all my updates installed without a hitch. For a mini PC, this thing packs a punch!Under the hood, we're talking 16GB of RAM, which handles my daily workload like a champ. I'm constantly juggling Citrix, Java applications, and the usual Office suite stuff, and this little guy doesn't even break a sweat. Plus, I even managed to sneak in some Sims 4 during my lunch break, and it ran surprisingly well for light gaming!Here’s a quick rundown of what I've noticed:✅ Speedy Performance: The upgraded mini PC chip really delivers. Installation facile. Très bon appareil. Magnifique qu'il soit aussi petit et aussi bon. Mon conjoint est enchanté.Mais attention, impossible d'installer le logiciel Impotnet à cause du manque de puissance du processeur. Une chance que j'ai un vieux portable.

The new Intel N150 processor is a significant improvement over the old N100 processor in a number of ways and Beelink has built a very functional mini-system around it. 16GB of DDR4 RAM provides lots of functional headroom for running programs, and a 500GB SSD is a fine starter drive for such a system, even if it does seem a little bottlenecked by being on a PCIe3.0 bus. It's not something that's particularly noticable during use though, and given how power efficient the system is, the efficiency savings by keeping with PCIe3.0 is perfectly logical. The benefit of this is that, if you decided to swap in a larger SSD (which I recommend with any of these imported mini PC's, as a matter of course), you can save a lot of money by finding one which only needs to meet that bus speed maximum, rather than paying extra for a drive that delivers super-fast PCIe4.0 functionality. Turns out there are a lot of great options among the slower SSDs that are very economical. This unit runs quiet and cool, and I have yet to get it into a state where the fan gets into high-speed mode. I'm very impressed by what can be done in such a small space with such a small amount of power. I've used other Beelink mini PC's in the past, and this one built to the same level of quality that I've come to expect from the brand. Even their unboxing process was satisfying! No complaints here.

I got this very small PC to use as a home server running Linux. It has a lot of great features to support this use case but also has some blemishes, so I'll go through the good, bad, and ugly.The good - Strong processor for a mini PC running Linux despite having four cores it's nice and zippy, the 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB disk is a good amount for this use case although you might want more if you want to run Minecraft servers with mods. The case is easy to take apart with a little tab to help pull the back off and the keys for setup and "boot from" device clearly written on the case itself. One stick of RAM is all you get though.The bad - The components in this unit are unbranded (RAM and disk) so long-term usefulness is a bit of a concern. Very few ports can also make for a challenge and there are no USB type C ports at all where similar boards provide display and power over an exposed USB-C port. I would not recommend this unit for Windows work, the preinstalled copy of Windows 11 Pro is suspect.The ugly - Fan noise is a bit louder than I would like for a unit this small and could be hard to replace if it fails. The included SSD is a SATA device bringing the disk speed way down. Price is a bit higher than the MSRP as right now the listed price is $219, although the $50 coupon does help with that.Overall I think this is a good buy. If you consider the cost of a modern Raspberry Pi this unit provides more value for the cost since you'll get better performance and compatibility with software at a lower wattage along with more RAM and disk space. Compared to other small PCs in this market it's a good fit. Great buy for anyone looking to create a simple and cost effective home lab or add to an existing lab.
