This review is for the BIC Break Resistant Pro Mechanical Pencils with Extra Strong Lead and Shock-Absorption, 2-Count in Premium BarrelI'm impressed. I usually hate using mechanical pencils because the lead breaks so easily. Not so with this BIC pencil! I love this thing! I can write easily, no worry about needing to sharpen the point (or breaking it), the eraser twists up easily and erases smoothly. There are 2 extra leads in the body--you just need to pull out the eraser casing to access them. My only issue with these are how to keep my family from absconding with them. I guess I'll be buying more!

Recently my eight year old borrowed a couple mechanical pencils...and broke the leads almost instantly.We gave him these instead, and they definitely live up to the name! He has yet to break the lead on these, despite the vigorous writings of a third grader. They're plenty comfortable to hold, write well, and are definitely durable.I'm not sure of a tougher test for a mechanical pencil than a third grader, but these passed.

I like the mechanical pencil. I have not tested the shock-proof yet, however I have been writing with it and had absolutely no issues with the lead. The pencil itself feels and looks very well made and solid. It feels like a pencil in my hand, which I want it to. Like with other mechanical pencils, you push the top to release the lead, and it releases just enough so even if you click it twice, it is not too much and I have not broken the lead at all. The eraser works by twisting, to the left raises the eraser and to the right takes it back down into its housing. To access the extra leads, you need to pull off the eraser housing and each pencil comes with 2 additional spare leads. The eraser works well, I am able to erase all of the unwanted pencil marks completely.This is a very solid set of pencils, great for the workplace, school or just to have a solid mechanical pencil you can replace the lead with and keep on using. These would be really nice for the workplace. I am enjoying using it and it works and feels like it should and I do feel as though the pencil is very well made. So far I love the new and improved lead.⭐️ 1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality, or it does not reflect the advertising.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or is not priced where it should be for the product.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable. It has some faults, but the quality is adequate for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable; it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

Engineer with a mechanical pencil disorder here. This Bic rig is awesome! I've used Pentel 0.7mm for 2 decades and this is making me rethink it! The Bic being slightly taller somehow allows a better feel in my hand. I cant explain it but it just feels.....smoother. Grip is good, body is the right diameter for comfort, and the fact that the eraser works via twist extraction is a YUGE plus over those Pentel pinch cap. Eraser also seems to work better. I'm going to test this for another few weeks, but unless I stumble into some odd surprises, I think Bics won over a new customer. Awesome rig!

These BIC Break Resistant Pro Mechanical Pencils really are pretty strong. The .07 lead is a good size for my needs, and it hasn't broken on me yet. They write pretty much the same as my usual #2 pencils in terms of neatness and thickness of the lines. But, unfortunately, I don't think they are the most comfortable to grip, although they're lightweight. The texture on the barrel isn't smooth and feels a little scratchy to me. I also was surprised by how skinny the eraser is. It's good for erasing small writing, but not for larger jobs. I like that the eraser twists up and down, but the lead only moves one direction. I appreciate that the erasers and lead are replaceable, but not sure I would get these again.
