Tips to Inspire Your Kids to Write
1. Set aside specific times during the week for writing stories, songs or even jokes. Let your kids use their imaginations.

very smooth writing and a nice shade of blue... durability is great and holding the pen it doesn't slide out of your hand has a good grip...

As the tile says the best cheap pen that feels like a good writting pen easy grip as well it is the only one i will purchase over and over again

I remember using this style years ago, and have used a lot of different pens since then. But this "cheap" pen...this humble, little, no-nonsense writing utensil...provides the smoothest writing experience I've had. Smooth! I feel like I don't have to fight with the paper to get the words down. Actually, I'm seeing my penmanship improve as I use it! Perhaps because my wrist and fingers are more relaxed with this pen than with other kinds of ballpoint or gel ink pens. I like gels, but I don't feel like I have the same kind of control. My cursive gets scrabbly, like a doctor's prescription writing, when I use other pens. You may also be pleased with the ease of this Bic comfort stick pen.

I like using well-made pens and have several favorites, all costing hundreds of dollars. I don't like it when people "borrow" one of those pens off my desk and then "forget" to return it. It means I've lost a good pen, plus I have to scramble for a pen when I need one (and there's never one around). That's why I have a box or two of these BIC pens on my desk. Anyone can borrow one (although they never seem to be returned) and there's always one handy for me when I need one! They are utilitarian, yes, and not stylish, but they work well, write smoothly and consistently, and they are inexpensive enough to have a dozen laying around. Just what I need!
