A lot easier to install than I thought it would be had to drill out a hole in my hinge to 1/4 inch but once that was done and I tapped in the pin, I was able to put it back in and all was good. I am sure this will last a very long time over the plastic one it was there before.Make sure that you have a set of plastic tools to remove the clips. It’s easiest release the clips from the backside and pull it out from the front. A great purchase only wish I had done it before.

Easy to install getting the spring on was the hardest part. Definitely worth it 😀

Awesome product. Remove the fuel door assembly to install. I was able to push all of the tabs to the fuel door assembly from under the truck while having a trim removal tool wedged in one side from the outside. Nice quality!

This is a good fix and works well, big improvement over the one from Form

Worked perfectly, yes it's a pain to get the fuel door assembly out to replace the pin. I'm too old, fat, stove-up to do it all from underneath. Start prying from the side of the door assembly toward the rear of the truck. When you think it's going to break, pry a little harder, it will come out. Once the clips toward the rear of the truck are released, move the entire assembly toward the back of the truck, it won't come straight out because of the hinge. When you put the new hinge pin in place, it will seem like it doesn't fit all the way in. Wap it a few times with a mini Sledge-o-matic, the pin will seat further in so you can get the washer and hairpin installed on the top. Also, I wouldn't even attempt doing this without a few of those little plastic pry bars. I put tape around the opening, just in case. If you don't, then while you're trying to get the assembly out, the door itself will rub against the bedside toward the front, possibly messing up the paint.
