Had to come back and read other reviews. This cassette is no good. The last few cogs (6-8) are not spaced correctly vs an actual Shimano cassette. It is basically impossible to get clean shifting through out the entire range. The best could get it was to sacrifice gear 8 or sacrifice gear 4. Utter garbage. Needed it for a road bike but simply cannot use this for a race.

This cassette (10 speed, 11-40t) is probably heavier than some of the higher end cassettes, but as far as quality I can't see anything wrong with it.It is machined well, it fit perfectly on the freehub body when installing.I only have one ride on it so far, but it shifted smooth. Time will tell as far as wear. One reviewer said that one of the three small screws that hold it together backed out. So before installing it I did remove them one at a time and put them back with thread locking compound. When removing them I noticed they were not very tight, so I installed them back a little tighter. In doing this the ends of the screws protruded through the outer cog a little. I simply filed them down flush. Honestly, they could probably be removed entirely, you would just have to deal with the loose stack of cogs and spacers when installing them.I didn't use the derailleur extension that came with it, because I don't like the design. It's off-set with a more extreme B screw stop position, not longer like a Wolf Tooth Goatlink.Although not optimal you can get by without an extension up 42T on a Shimano 1x10 speed system, so that's what I'm doing on two different bikes. I probably will be purchasing GoatLinks in the future though just to save wear on the components. (Note: Shimano 11 speed requires no extension at all on most derailleurs.)

This is the second Bolany cassette I have purchased. 1st a 10 speed and now a 9 speed. Very happy with finish and smooth gear change. Surprised this is not supplied with a spacer ring though.
