This is a direct fit for a 5.7 L mercruiser carburator fed V8 motor for a lower price.It came with 3 oil seals to seat it up against the motor. This was super helpful because we broke one installing it but had two more to get the job done.It was an easy install for the most part. The hardest part of the install is be sure to get the pusher rod that pumps the pump arm slid upwards so the pump arm can be positioned properly (underneath the pusher rod). We had to hold the pusher rod up with an extended flat blade screwdriver then slip the pump into position and remove the screwdriver.The motor fired up immediately, as compared to the old pump with which nothing would get to the carb.The only con about this is it does come uncoated, so if you are using it for a marine environment like us you might want to slap a coat of your choice onto it to prolong it's lifespan.

The pump was defective. The pump worked fine at low Rpm s but the fuel pressure at high rpm dropped to 1 foot pounds. We put a electric pump on and the boat ran great no flat spots at top end. Then we took off the electric pump and went to the mechanic pump and it wouldn't run at high rpms. I have been trying to solve the problem for the last month and a half. Also all of the marine fuel pumps are black. This one was not black. The picture you put it is black. Please refund me for the purchase. Ty
