These are very similar to the popular SS-10 solder suckers, and perform almost as well. The SS-10 fails after a while, and I suspect that these will as well, but at this point, I can't comment on whether there is a difference in their life expectancy.

This is helpful for my projects when I am desoldering components to install upgrades. The process of removing the solder can be a pain especially when you have a lot of components. I have used desoldering webbing but this makes it easier and helps with larger solder projects.

I've been soldering several small Arduino and ESP32 projects lately and I'm more of a crude solderer, so this had come in extremely handy and actually allowed me to just clean up areas over over-soldering, not just remove all solder from a particular solder point.It's simple to use, simply press the plunger down and have it sitting there ready for when you need it, hold the silicone to to the melted solder and hit the release button...solder gone! It's a great tool to have in the arsenal, especially if you're like me and don't solder very often and/or aren't that good at it, but still like to tackle electronics projects.

This thing is awesome. Definitely one of the better ones on the market. It's solid, works as described. Very well I might add. To date absolutely no issues. Have used 15-18 times. Very impressed
