wanted to try this rewire. its marvelous to blend the pickups, volume adjusting my be needed though, as some signal drop occurs. you get adjusted to it, then can use the blend all different settings, removed the switch, the blend does the job better, I believe. look up vids on installation or wiring tips. I've done two guitars like this and love the various tones I can get.

I replace the pickup selector switch on my Gretsch G2220 Junior Jet II short scale bass with the 500K dual MN taper pot, allowing me to have a balance control between the two pickups. Much greater control of the tone than just a selector switch.

It's a utilitarian item. It performs according to spec. I wanted a blend pot to use on an acoustic guitar with 2 pickups. I wired it. It works.

"Blend" is a misnomer. This is basically two separate pots with a wide-open center position where both are at "10." When you attenuate in one direction, the other half of the pot remains at full value. It's perfect for having a treble cut in one direction and a bass cut in the other. But it never involves both sides simultaneously. It works great for what it does, and despite being only 500k, gives a decent sweep on the bass-cut. Pot works pretty good, smooth, but most of the knobs I have have to be drilled out a little to fit.
