This was my go-to litter for 4 years. It clumps well, has decent odor control, and is easy to scoop. Something that really bothered me was how must dust and grey residue it would leave on the litter robot interior and on my cat’s paws. I found a better litter and haven’t purchased this since, but it’s still a great litter. It still holds a second in my litter hierarchy.

i’ve been using this litter for over 3 years. our cat box is in the home office where we spend most of our time. the windows are always closed. our office and apartment do NOT smell of cat urine. we have 2 cats that share 1 litter box. it gets scooped 2x a day. the litter box WAS automatic, it has a dump area at the end, our litter still gets scooped into the dump area till it fills up. usually takes about a week to fill. there is NO smell from the box. i’ve rarely had litter stuck to one cats paw which we were able to remove with a wet wipe. i highly recommend this litter! one bag usually lasts a month for us.

Having a male cat, ammonia smell can be easy to detect when urine is mixed with litter. After getting fed up with other brand like tidy cats etc, I wanted a litter that didn’t track so much in the house, and also didn’t smell as foul when mixed with my cats bathroom waste.Let me tell you, I NEVER smell the cat box. People never detect it and always comment on it. Even after times I’ve let it go a day too long to scoop, the scent is minimal at most. Even then so you barely smell it, so you really need to check on it more. One bag generally lasts my cat a full month.I can’t and won’t use any other litter than boxiecat

Yes, this stuff is expensive. It is worth it. I won't use anything else, and I have tried others. Many, many others. For one thing, this litter really does last, so it's actually a better value than you might think. For another thing, the cats actually use it. They like it. It is super easy to clean, clumps like no other litter, and for some magical reason that I have yet to ascertain, it has no odor. None. Zip zulu nada. There is a small amount of tracking, but heck -- they are cats, using litter. It's going to track. Given the nature of the product, the tracking is actually pretty minimal.I used to have 12+ cats and this was the litter I swore by. When I downgraded to two cats, I tried to get away with cheaper litters but found them sorely lacking. This stuff just WORKS. In the end, it's also cheaper because, again, it actually LASTS. All you have to do is top it off -- it doesn't pick up odor, so you don't need to constantly change it out to keep the box from stinking -- just remove the poops and clumps and you're good.I do have a complaint about this, though, and that is that the bag design sucks, particularly when arriving from Amazon. A big-name pet product competitor does a better job shipping this than Amazon does; with Amazon, the outer boxes are absurdly flimsy and it gets banged around such that litter will often be spilling out of the bag, which is a big pain in the privates. I feel that this is on both Amazon and the manufacturer. It's a 30-lb bag and easily ripped, and I think that a sturdy box would be way, WAY better. That having been said, this is the litter that I swear by. I am not being paid to write this review; I genuinely believe in this product. True story. Change my mind, competitors.

Only litter I have ever used that does not need to be changed completely every week!!! I have 2 large male cats who tend to pee along the back or sides of the box which makes scoopable litter unpleasant to use. I used Fresh Step clay litter since 1990 and loved it! Scooped solids every day and changed box every week...no odor, unless cat had just pooped but you get that with humans and flush toilets too. 2 years ago one of my kitties was diagnosed with feline asthma. The Fresh Step had become very dusty so I had to change. After some research I tried Dr Elseys Respiratory Relief Litter. Worked great for asthma - no dust and no scent but poor odor control and hard to scoop due to large clumps along sides of box. If you break a clump the smell is worse! Yuk! Also used the Dr Elseys Ultra which is also unscented and 99.9% dust free. Cheaper but same issues with odor and scooping. I eventually changed the box in main hall bath to Fresh Step Simply Unscented Lightweight. Kitty with asthma continued to do OK, better odor control but clumping was about the same I.e. not great. I progressed to Fresh Step in all 3 boxes. Then about a month ago Chip started coughing again. After more research, I tried Boxiecat. No odor just like the old Fresh Step. Yay! Unscented and dust free so good for asthma and no more coughing. Yay! Best of all it is easy to scoop. Firm clumps that don’t stick to box or stink if they break apart! I was skeptical about it lasting a month but so far so good. Initially put Boxiecat in 2 boxes and Fresh Step in hall bath because I had 3 boxes to use up. Boxiecat lasted 3 weeks no problem. Last week, Fresh Step gone so I put fresh Boxiecat litter in all 3 boxes to keep all on same schedule. I don’t think a month will be a problem. I have some left to freshen up the boxes as needed. Some reviews said it was expensive and that is true but if I only have to change it every 3 or 4 weeks, it will definitely save me money. I was buying 3 20 pound boxes of litter every week at a cost of $30 - $45, depending on brand. With the Boxiecat I am getting 2 28 pound bags from Amazon repeat delivery every month at at price of $22 each plus one 16 pound bag from PetSmart for $18. That is only about $16/week! Definitely cheaper in the long run. Only complaint so far is the size of the bags. 28 pounds is too much and 16 not enough. I have large cats and large boxes so I use about 20 pounds per box. So far I can supplement the 16 pound bag with what is left from one larger bag and still have some litter left to freshen up the boxes as needed, so I guess it is not a terrible problem. Bigger issue is the awkwardness of handling the 28 pound bags. Would be easier if there was some type of handle but overall I am very satisfied. Back to odor free litter boxes and I don’t have to change them every week. Best of all....my kitty is healthy and no more coughing 😸😸😸
