No me suelen gustar los cuchillos que no sean de espiga completa o “full tang” (manías mías), pero este cuchillo me gustó por su estética, reputación y calidad que ofrece la marca (ya tengo una navaja Buck 110), buenas reseñas…vamos, que me encapriché en él aunque por el precio que tenía pensaba que sería de peor calidad. Al recibirlo reconozco que me ha sorprendido gratamente, paso a compartir fotos y detalles por si le sirven a alguien.La funda es de cuero auténtico de buena calidad, robusta, está muy bien elaborada y se indica que ha sido fabricada en México, tiene un ojal de buen tamaño para cinturones anchos, yo soy muy detallista y no le he visto el más mínimo desperfecto.El cuchillo es de tamaño contenido, ni muy chico que para eso llevas una navaja, ni un cuchillaco tipo apocalipsis zombie que vaya creando por ahí alarma social. Cuenta con 15,2 cms de hoja medidas desde la guarda y tiene punta en clip, 4,3mm de grosor de hoja medida por la parte más gruesa del lomo, 2,7 cms de pala medida por la zona más ancha, el acero es un 420 HC inoxidable de 54 HRC (dureza) que en principio no es nada del otro mundo…pero está muy bien templado y de fábrica viene muy muy bien afilado, el pomo y la guarda son de “duraluminio” y vienen pulido a espejo, la empuñadura es sintética, se adapta bien a la mano y el color que parece un negro azabache o algo similar, contrasta muy bien con el pulido del pomo y guarda. Todo viene muy bien ajustado y ensamblado.Con respecto al asunto de la espiga, no es ni mejor ni peor, simplemente hay que saber qué herramienta es y para qué la puedes usar:¿Usaría este cuchillo para cortar un asado, un chuletón, como cuchillo auxiliar de caza, trinchar un pollo o un pavo? Sí, sin duda alguna, además es muy bonito.¿Usaría este cuchillo para batonear un tronco de un roble, cortar un pino a machetazos o golpear con el lomo una barra de hierro, una piedra de granito, dar tajadas en una tubería de cobre con el filo? Definitivamente no.Saludos y espero que os sea útil.

Eines haben Messer von Buck alle gemeinsam, sie sind optisch super und von der Qualität her absolut Spitze. Das Messer liegt wirklich leicht und angenehm in der Hand. Ein tolles weiteres Messer für meine Sammlung!

Das Buck 119 wurde schnell geliefert.Die Farbe des Holzgriffes weicht vom Produktbild etwas ab und hat einen etwas rötlicheren Ton, als auf dem Bild.Es ist eher Mahagoni-Farbend.Das Holz besteht aus harzgetränktem Holzlaminat und ist komplett wasserfest und pflegefrei.Das Messer ist makellos verarbeitet und kommt rasierscharf aus der Packung.Die mitgelieferte Lederscheide ist schön stabil und duftet stark nach Leder.Das Messer ist außerordentlich stabil und ist ein amerikanischer Klassiker, der durch jahrzente lange Praxis erprobt wurde und sich bewährt hat.Die Buck-Philosphie ist , dass sich Jederman ein vernünftiges und funktionierendes Werkzeug made in USA, leisten kann.Wer also ein stabiles Fahrtenmesser für Küche und Camp , sowie Jagdlichen Einsatz sucht, macht mit diesem Messer nichts falsch.

Es mi primer producto Buck. Debo expresar que es una obra maestra. La calidad de materiales y de su construcción es suprema. A decir verdad es el mejor cuchillo en cuanto a filo de fábrica que tengo. Y eso que tengo varios de prestigiosas marcas como SOG y KA BAR. La calidad es semejante a los mejores productos SOG pero el afilado de fábrica es superior. Un grandioso cuchillo. 100% recomendado.

5 stelle se ci fossero 6 stellel non esiterei a darle. Arrivato nei tempi previsti. Ho avuto poco tempo di guardarlo, apprezzare la bellezza dell oggetto le ottime finiture che, ci sono andato a caccia.Provato Buck nell uso per cui è stato costruito. sono rimasto molto contento delle sue prestazioni, il filo è rimasto integro dopo averci scuoiato e macellato due cinghiali di circa 90 chili. Sono veramente contento del mio acquisto.

I recently purchased this knife to use on a camping trip. it is a classic design and it is executed flawlessly. the blade comes razor sharp out of the box and should be easy to sharpen because it is 420hc stainless (i haven't had to sharpen it yet though). I've also seen other reviews that did thorough testing of the blade for corrosion resistance, and they rate it as excellent (i haven't had it long enough to tell personally). the handle is a work of art; the guard and pommel are polished brass, and the handle is cocobolo wood which gives it a warm and classic look. Buck's attention to detail and workmanship is remarkable, as the brass meets the wood seamlessly so it is very comfortable to hold. it's a full-tang knife, meaning that the blade goes all the way through the handle and into the pommel, where it is attached with a brass rod (this too is seamlessly polished). it comes with a dark brown leather sheath that is also very well made and looks like it will last a lifetime. the sheath has a belt loop and can be worn comfortably on the hip.when i was deciding which knife to get, i considered this one, as well as the standard buck 119 (with phenolic handle and aluminum guard and pommel) and the limited edition 119 (with stacked leather handle and aluminum guard/pommel). After handling all three knives in a store, i liked the feel of the wood/brass handle the most. this is the heaviest of the three knives (at 10.5oz, compared to 7.5oz for the phenolic handle and 7.3oz for the stacked leather), and the balance point is about an inch below the guard which makes it sit nicely in the hand (on the other two, the balance point was right at the guard). i personally like the heft of the knife, but i could see it getting tiring after extended use.overall, i am very happy with the purchase and i highly recommend it to any hunter/camper/knife enthusiast. i'll try to upload some pictures too, to show all these details.
