This cable is well built and comes with a nice case to keep it in the car if needed for trips or hard to reach charging stations. I changed electric car late last year and went from a charging port in the front of the car to rear of the car. My charger is located in the front of the garage so I had to back in with the new car so the charging cable would reach. Well this was a simple fix to extend the cable so I can pull straight in if I want. Handles 40 amps no problem.

This cable has been working fine, but we had a day of rain and now the head of the plug has enough water inside you can hear it sloshing around! The cable end sits in a holder against the wall when not in use.I can't get the water to drain, and now I just have to let this sit outside in the sun for days and hope it dries out. I'm not sure if it's even safe to use now!!!

It’s smaller diameter than I was expecting, but used it on 32 amp charger and did fine. It didn’t heat up or have any issues. My other charger pushes 40 amp so I will use it and see how it goes. Instructions say rated at 40.Plugs seem well made, nice carry bag. Affordable and will give me a lot of flexibility on parking at my home. Based on my limited use, I would recommend.

Works nicely. As a 40 amp cord it is thinner and easier to handle. Does the job for me. No negatives as long as you know it is a 40 amp cord.
