Finally!! A nice 19" rack that holds up under its own weight and then some. I cant contest to the weight rating on this shelf but I can say that with decent amount of weight, it's very sturdy. No issues with install and all holes lined up right. Be careful with some data racks - seems there aren't always standards followed so that might explain why some people say it doesn't line up or fit. Legit telecom/data racks that are 19" and totally standard will fit and work just fine. If your rack is an 'off' one - then YMMV with this shelf.

Not the best shelf for the money but it works. Sags a bit at the back even after the screws are as tight as can be, shouldn't be an issue as but no way this will hold 40lbs without sagging badly. Lucky for me, its just a router and controller going on it.

This is a very good quality Rack Shelf unfortunately because of the “overhanging lip” on the front edge it did not work for my application of using it in my Synthesizer Rack setup. The lip took up space that otherwise I could use and it blocked my small gear from sliding in and out. It was not clear to me from the description or image so I had to return it.

I like the strength of it, the metal is thick enough I don't detect any flexing. Mine is the 1U size. Two mounting screw options are provided, 1 is a set of screws and grommets for threaded frames, which I used without any issue. The second option is a set of larger screws and some clips they thread into, which I don't have any way to test other than to say they fit each other. In both cases, 2 extras were provided, which I appreciate. Maybe the extras are for the 2U shelf and they just use the same mounting pack for both. The bottom plate of the shelf has an interesting hole pattern cut into it, little ovals running at an angle across the shelf. I think this promotes air circulation if you are using a closed rack. If you tend to throw small parts like screws on the shelf, you probably won't like those holes. There is also a lip around the edges to keep things in there. The black powder coat matches my other gear and adds to the professional look of my setup. Really nice job.

There isn't a whole lot to really say about this item. It is a metal 1U rack shelf and it "just works". It is made of thick enough metal to not flex when under a typical load. The edges have been smoothed, deburred, and painted, so you aren't likely to cut or scrape yourself when putting items on the shelf. I also like that it is vented to allow for a bit of airflow around network devices like a router or switch. A set of 5 rack screws with inserts is included (one extra). At only 10", this shelf is a bit more shallow than many, but for a shallow rack or in a custom setup, like my own, this is a plus. In my own case, this is going into my home equipment closet and the "rack" is two vertical 2x4's that I intentionally placed 19 apart, so I'll be using wood screws and washers, rather than the ones it came with. I've always had good luck with Cable Matters products in the past and this one is no exception. I am very satisfied.
