My partner is a total coffee snob so a French press is our default “basic” daily coffee. Unfortunately they are disabled and prone to fainting and a few months ago they fainted while holding our old glass French press and hurt them self pretty badly with hot water and shards of glass. So I knew I wanted a press with no glass at all in case that happens again.This press is great. The color is fun and cute, so it looks good sitting on our counter, the thick metal keeps the coffee warm for a long time (great for me because I drink it slow), and although we haven’t dropped it yet, it seems like it would hold up well to some rough and tumble treatment. The filter works well, I haven’t had any trouble with grounds except for when I fill it too full. I also find it easier to wash since it’s one smooth piece of metal instead of a glass piece in a metal cage.I would absolutely recommend this French press, it’s well worth the money!

Oddly, I was looking for an alternative French press to the Stanley one for camping. I have a glass one at home but wanted a stainless steel one for outdoors that wasn’t $80 :o. Others have said the colors chip but I haven’t used it long enough to get there - but it gets my 5 stars bc it’s exactly what I was looking for in use purpose, material, price, and it happens to come in fun colors ;)
