The only disadvantage is there aren't any side stickers, only the sticker over the battery gauge LEDs. Instructions are minimal, nothing said about how to assemble and which screws go where, so I'll say here: there are (9) itty-bitty screws; (4) attach the red plastic locking mechanism to the top inside of the case, (4) others attach the completed assembly to the bottom case, from the bottom, and the last one attaches the circuit board to the assembly in the thinner, circuitry area. There is a long, but skinnier than the other screws left; it attaches the circuit board to the assembly up in the contacts area. The remaining screws are NOT all be the same, the (5) slightly shorter ones attach the two halves of the assembly together before welding and soldering, with the (4) remaining longest ones are to attach the two halves of the shell together after everything is complete. I especially like the fact that this kit has the nickel connectors embossed to fit in the appropriate cavities, if you're paying attention, it's hard to screw up. Be sure and use high amperage 21700 batteries such as Molicel 21700 P42A 4200mAh 45A Batteries! They're very good and inexpensive. I've probably put together a dozen or so of these M18 batteries, and it has been the most professional one I've seen. Good Job! Very highly recommended!4.29.24 Update: I've used the battery made from this kit for 5 times over the past month, in the Milwaukee trimmer, and blower on our 3/4 acre property. What used to take 3 or 4 (5ah) batteries to do, I can now do most of the trimming and blowing with just the one battery. So, I'm going to buy another kit, some more batteries, and make another one! And, BTW, I designed, printed and laminated some side stickers to make it look almost 'OEM'......! (see photos)5.6.24; Got the second kit and batteries and assembled. Went together perfectly and equal or better power and endurance than a 12AH Milwaukee battery. And, I saved about 35%.7.29.24; Well, I'm making another REALLY BIG 12AH battery, using this same kit and 15 of the Molicel INR-21700-P42A 45A 4200mAh Flat Top 21700 Batteries. After reading all the negative reviews of the name brand Milwaukee 12AH battery, I figured I'd just stay with this PROVEN model!!! If you want the biggest and the baddest (other than a CAR BATTERY!), this is the way to go!!!4.23.2025 Update; Just ordered my FOURTH 12AH battery case for (15) 21700 cells. These batteries work so well, and last so long between charges, that I never use any of my Milwaukee OEM M18 batteries! I'll use Molicel INR-21700-P45B 45A 4500mAh Flat Top 21700 Batteries that I found online cheap. On last thing; this thing is ENORMOUS and is very heavy when complete! Make sure you have the room to attach it to your device. It DOES fit every Milwaukee tool I have, including the vac and the blower.

I have used 4 of these to build 12 amp Milwaukee M18 batteries. they work very well.for the most part. 2 issues,(to me anyway) the led charge indicators are very dim,need to get in shade to see them. The screws supplied in kit are not long enough for back 2 screws that hold top to lower case,need to find your own. Overall the BMS seems to work correctly,charges AND balances cells very well.Good way to build high power batteries with out the high cost of OEM.

Repair kit for a Milwaukee 12.0 Amp hour battery. The board works good and the internal parts fit properly. The only downside to it is the battery cells holder and case is made of poor quality plastic and can break or damage if handled roughly. There is no rubber support on the outer part of the case like the original Milwaukee battery has. The other downside is that it did not come with the Milwaukee 12.0 labels. The only label it came with is the one for the charge indicator. Had to mark with a paint marker. For a spare I guess it is ok. Charged up and the board works fine.
