These are top quality merino wool socks. I have other brands from top makers and I like these the best. Very comfortable and soft. Tested them out and wore them for a week. No smell. Held up great in the wash. Love that they are simple black, so I can wear them with anything. I use them for everyday socks (not just for sport), so I like that they will work with jeans or trousers when I am dressed up. Perfect thickness for all of my shoes.

I had high hopes for these socks, but when I opened the package, Iwas surprised by how small they were. They were XL, but looked like they were the same size as my wife's socks, and she has small feet. The material was very nice, but had very little stretch. I tried to put them on, and couldn't get them on over my heel without pulling really hard. I returned them and got a refund with no problem.Several years ago I bought some Smartwool liner socks and loved them. I still have them, but they're wearing thin. I had ordered some new ones and had the same problem - very little stretch. I have yet to find a solution. If anyone knows of a lightweight merino wool sock that is very stretchy (so it doesn't strangle your feet) I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

I don’t think there’s anything about these socks that I don’t like. Wool is the very best moisture wicking material on earth. It’s better than anything synthetic and even when my feet get wet, from the elements, they are still comfortable. I would definitely recommend anything minus 33 makes. It’s a bit pricey, especially their clothing, but it’s the most comfortable stuff I’ve ever worn.

Just getting into the wool sock game. I bought a pair of "Darn Tough Light Hiker Micro Crew Light Cushion Socks" for $21, then I ordered these for $17.The Minus33's are superior in every way. The DarnToughs are only 43% Merino Wool... I have heard they used to be more like 60%+ but looks like they've reduced that. For $21/pair IMO that's a low wool content. These Minus33's are 66% merino wool. Further, the Minus33's just fit better. The DarnToughs are incredibly tight, almost like compression socks. The Minus33's are much easier to get on and off, the padding underfoot is better. The elastic on the calf is a nice thick band, so I don't expect the socks to ever get "loose" and droop down on my legs. The DarnToughs again were just very tight overall, on both the foot and the calf, and itchier (probably due to both the tightness and lower wool content).I just ordered another pair of these Minus33's, now the price is only $14/pair! So you can buy 3 pairs of these for the price of 2 pairs of the DarnToughs. No brainer IMO.
