This lens surprised me. AF is excellent, with macro or regular shooting. Sharp as a tack and spot-on. The IS is also excellent, I test-shot down to 1/30th consistently wide open and stopped down with sharp results. A great lens for indoor shooting with no discernible barrelling on straight lines. The colours and bokeh are very pleasing IMO. I've not yet used it for astro and will update on that.The packaging was a bubble wrapper in a Canon box, lots of protection but not pretty. No hood, but I'm not sure yet if it really needs one, as I will be using nds and other filters fairly often.Focusing ring is smooth, and the control ring has a nice soft clicky detente for ease of use.The quality and finish are excellent, given the price point. It's a matte finish that does pick up a little dust occasionally but wipes off easily. The price point delivers a great return, and I think this will be one of my favourite lenses.

Este es de mis lentes rf favoritos, tengo el 50, el 34-105 y el 85 todos de gama de entrada, y sin duda este es uno de los siempre traigo en mi cámara canon rp, gran calidad de imagen, poco peso y buen desempeño

Es una Excelente compra la que realice de las mejores ya que dudaba de la calidad de mi camara hasta que compre los lentes RF originales , y uff aumento mucho mi calidad mas que con el mendigo adaptador jajaj

Es casi perfecto por lo que pagas, CASI. He podido hacer fotos de 1 segundo sosteniendo la cámara sin trípode ni recargarme y las fotos salen sin trepidar. Si tienes una R5 o R6 más este objetivo es increíble la estabilización. No lo consideraría un lente macro per se, pero si te puedes acercar bastante para hacer un close up. Me encanta el anillo extra de los objetivos RF aunque está demasiado cerca del anillo de enfoque. No afecta tanto, pero de vez en cuando me equivoco de anillo. De tamaño es relativamente pequeño. (Tiene casi el mismo tamaño que el 50mm 1.4 + adaptador. Para hacer fotografías de calle es perfecto, nunca te va a faltar luz. Mi única queja es que, para retratos que a veces lo uso tiene demasiada, repito demasiada aberración cromática. Al menos en mi caso. Es muy malo para contraluces. Incluso peor que los 50mm 1.8. o el 1.4. Yo en esos objetivos cierro un poco el diafragma y solucionado, pero en este no. Lo tengo que cerrar a más de f2.8 para que salga decente (Cuando le exiges).En condiciones óptimas de luz no vas a tener problemas. El Sigma 35mm 1.4 Art se lo lleva de calle en este aspecto. Sin embargo en líneas generales el Canon tiene más ventajas. ¿Lo recomiendo? Sí, solo ten en cuanta la aberración. Si trabajas a diafragmas cerrados este no será ningún problema y este 35 es perfecto por el precio.

Es lenta es la onda total, obviamente hablamos de un lente adecuado a su precio, así que tiene un poco de aberración cromática a 1.8, no es súper robusto vaya está mejor construido que el 50 y es mejor óptica pero no es un lente premium. Y pues es una óptica estándar así que aunque es 1.8 obviamente no va a generar súper bokeh si no estás cerca del objeto. Dicho eso, lo volvería a comprar sin pensarlo, mejor si es en menos de 12mil
