The instructions are a little confusing because they are written for more than a vehicle installation. But they were still helpful. There is a metal rod keeping the struts compressed until ready for installation. Follow the instructions for removing that rod so you don’t hurt yourself.From the time I opened the box, got my tools out, did removal and reinstallation, then put everything away may have taken 15 minutes. They went on a 2008 Dodge Ram 5500 and fit perfectly. These struts are stronger by far than the originals ever were. They actually raise the hood when it is unlatched, but not difficult to pull it back down and latch. The old shocks barely held the hood open after I pushed it up. I am more than pleased with these.

En temporada de invierno las uso constantemente por pedidos de trufas y la calidad muy bien, yo las recomiendo, llevo al menos 2 años comprando este producto y no me ha decepcionado

These were slightly longer than what they replaced, but not enough to make much difference. One of these could open the hood as easily as both old ones, making the hood easier to open now than to close. They're the only shocks of 5 sets I've bought recently that were shipped with a metal rod keeping them compressed. Removing it immediately lets it decompress for installation. It's a quick installation as long as you keep the c-clip from flying off (I still haven't found the clip from the first set of shocks I installed last year.)
