Wow, super cool fix for both my worn out dodgy remotes. The key pads had become "sunken / collapse" over the years, causing intermittent door locking and lift gate to open randomly. . The new ones are exact fit, easy to swap internal parts over and snap together, and they work perfectly. I was about to spend over $300 at Ford but fixed both remotes key fobs for $10 each...Brilliant. thanks

I ended up using only half of the new key shell. The button pads on the original key were basically deteriorating, and it would cause buttons to be incredibly touchy, and I grew quite tired of opening the key up to move the pads around.This unit works perfectly, and the front half with the buttons mates perfectly with the rear half of the original key with the Ford logo on it. My key fob now works almost better than new. The button style in this replacement unit is a bit more tactile and clicky, and I am a fan of this greatly. You may not like the feel depending on taste, but functionally the fob works splendidly now.I highly recommend using some rubbing alcohol to clean the key PCB off, as the old buttons left residue.

Que es similar a la original en su composición y funciones ,otras carcazas no tienen las laminitas de contacto de funciones, esta recién adquirida si es un buen sustituto de la original.

I own a Ford Escape and the buttons for the original key were dumped inside by the previous owner. I bought this key fob and replaced my key chip exactly as it was in the original fob. At first, the car was not able to detect the key and I had to keep the key close to the steering wheel for the car to detect. Once the key was detected, everything was smoothless from there. Best purchase!
