Bottom line ... I was able to switch over to this new case but it was probably 30 minutes of fighting to do so, which is crazy. (And was really annoying because the truck alarm kept going off and you have to get it back to an operational state to turn off the alarm) I have swapped batteries in a parking lot in the old case but this case did not want to go back together. I was finally able to get it to do so and it does look better, but if I had it to do over again I would just exchange my fob with the one stored in the safe.I wish someone had video taped the process because it would have got a ton of hits on YouTube with everyone laughing at me trying to keep the pieces from slipping, sliding, popping out of my hands while the truck alarm is going off.There are a couple of things that are wrong with this case.1. The worst problem was the battery holder. In the OEM case the batteries push down into that area and stay. The bottom metal in the new case is like a springboard that wants to throw or at least tilt the batteries so that getting them to stay in place while you fight to get the two case pieces to snap together.2. It doesn't have the small square of foam that goes over the electronic part. That foam is glued into the OEM case. I don't think this will be a functional issue, maybe a reliability issue(?) but it is different.3. It doesn't come with the small plastic sheet that is installed in the OEM that shows the battery configuration. I tried to move the one in the old case over to the new case but couldn't get it to stay on the small support tab.

Quickly replaced broken key fob for F150. Great replacement. Recommend.

Save your money and your sanity. These are cheaply made and will not fit together with the electronic piece in it. The second battery will continuously fall out as will one of the metal pieces for the battery as you try with all your mental capacity to get it together. By luck I got one together and then all the buttons wouldn’t work. My husband and I both spent the better part of two hours working with two different fobs to get it to fit together and operate. Couldn’t for the life of us get either to work or by mixing and matching pieces. Ended up just putting the board back into my crappy old original fob and bought a silicone cover to go over it. These will both be going back.
