The price is much cheaper than replacing through a kit or from the dealer . . .Bought to swap out the chip board from one of my 2015 Jeep JK keys.Once I put my card into the new key, the buttons would not work. It seems like the nub on the bottom of the buttons didn't line up quite right.I ended up returning and ordering a different replacement.

I swapped out my old key shell for this one from Amazon (installing the old guts into the new shell) and had the key cut by a locksmith. And that was only $3.20! A double win in terms of cost. The vehicle is a 13 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I highly recommend this replacement key if your buttons are worn or, like in my case, the 'ear loop' cracked on your OE key and you need to replace the shell.

Bought this just for the rubber innards/keypad, as the buttons on my original keypad were worn out and I wanted to make my key a bit fresher looking.The problem I'm having: the new rubber keypad when inserted in an original key fob does not allow full recession and flushness of the keypad in the key.In other words, the buttons protrude out of the key, and in the 6+ years I've owned my car, I have never had so many false panics because the button becomes caught in my pocket and trips the alarm.Has happened at least 5 times since installing the keypad and I don't think that's ever happened with the original.This part is flush when inserted into the replacement case itself, so no qualms with the product as-is -- but something to call out if you're thinking of just using the innards to refresh an older keypad.I suppose I could get the key cut and move my transponder over but they just may be too much of a hassle for now.
