Doing its job with C425 camera. It was the first day and cloudy/rainy. But it charged up my C425 from 35% to 39% and the Tapo App showed that it provided about 8% (based on battery capacity, not usage) for energy for the day. Would be interesting to see how much it can charge on a sunny day. It costs less than half of the official Tapo A200.Edit: on sunny day it was able to charge up 30% of the battery!

This solar charger works pretty well. The price is good & everything seems to work great.

Casi no carga la cámara. Debería mantenerse cerca del 100% pero solo se mantiene en 70

I’ve been operating this Solar panel for several weeks now. I installed as instructed, facing South with a clear path to the sky. I’ve checked the TP-Link app several times per day. Not once has the app indicated that the camera was charging. In fact the solar charge function in the app indicates that there is no solar panel connected. I connected the solar panel to my wireless earbuds and they were charging. This drives to the obvious conclusion that the solar panel does not generate enough current to charge the camera. Waste of time and money.

At $19.99 (Amazon price at time of both purchase and review) this is priced alongside competitors. It has three nice advantages over the 5w panel I use (see Amazon ASIN: B0CN5NDQ3F), but I'm not sure the extra cost is worth it ($20 for this reviewed item as opposed to $17 for the panel I currently use). So what are these advantages?Well, first this claims to be a 6w panel. That would be a twenty percent advantage over a 5w panel. But I'm not sure the Tapo cameras need the additional "push" as they tend to not use too much of their batteries (and mine stay well above 90% charged virtually all the time).Second, the cable is a bit longer. That's good, but both are of sufficient length (I think).Third, this reviewed panel includes a gasket to help keep water out of the back of the camera (until I got smart and came up with a workaround, this problem killed three of my cameras). The downside is that this panel seems much more flimsy than the one I use. Maybe it will hold up, but I think I'll stick with the previous panel.Bottom line, this 6w panel is a nice item. But there are better alternatives. So however nice, I can't go "5 stars." The best I can do is...4 stars.
