Works for my little ryobi just fine. No problems yet. Only had it about 1 month. Should last a few years. We shall see.

This is a charging device that will charge both the new lithium ion or the old NiCad batteries originally included with Ryobi ONE+ or replacement (aftermarket batteries) I purchased a replacement lithium ion battery and then realized that I had the wrong charger (the original RYOBI ONE+ charger) I then purchased this item to replace the old charger. The device works as expected and charged my battery quickly. The battery charger also has two 20w max charging ports for charging things like your phone, or tablet. I think this is a good design because you can charge all of your items in one place OR, if you're using limited power outlets you can maximize your work space. Like, say you're on a job and you only have one power line (an extension cord) and you don't have a power brick you can still charge your tool batteries and have a few usb outlets to keep your phone charged or radio. This device is on the large size, but it is very lightweight. I feel like its a durable device that should last a long time with appropriate care, but compared to other more durable models this device may get damaged if you're not particularly careful with your tools. Personally, I am using it in my garage and it won't get moved much, or if at all. I am not worried about the quality and I found it to be an exceptional value compared to other name brand replacements.

I already have a Ryobi P117 18V Lithium One+ charger and wanted a backup. This one seems similar in that a red light turns on when it is plugged into a wall socket and once the battery is inserted a green light begins to blink until your battery is fully charged. The closer the battery gets to being fully charged the slower the green light blinks until solid green. However, what I noticed on this one is that the green light was fast blinking for over 30 minutes until I had to leave for an errand and didn’t want to leave it plugged in while I was gone. When I returned I once again connected it and the green light that previously was fast blinking was now solid green. I tried again with another battery and let it go for about 10 minutes and the green light was fast blinking. I removed the battery and reinserted it and then a solid green. I inserted both batteries in my original Ryobi charger and it indicated that both batteries were fully charged.I don't know what to think about the charging senor, but it does charge and does it quickly, I will set it aside for extra use because I planned to use it as a backup anyway.

Recently, I purchased a bunch of Ryobi One+ 18v power tools at an estate sale, and the one included charger in the lot didn't work. The big box store expected me to pay over 35 dollars for a replacement, so I decided to see what's available elsewhere, as I have absolutely ZERO brand loyalty! This seemed like a suitable replacement, plus it has features the OEM charger doesn't have. I love that it has a couple of USB ports so I can charge my phone while I'm working. Brilliant! The manufacturer claims that this device will work with fast charge batteries and it features an intelligent charging sensor that provides protection against overloading, overheating, overcurrent and short circuiting and that it optimizes battery life by actively controlling current, voltage & temperature. This is LARGER than the OEM charger, and I cannot compare its performance to the factory supplied charger, because I never had access to one, but bigger is probably better, right? Who knows... I sure don't, but this works well, seems to be well constructed and it has more features for 2/3 the price. With Ryobi's less than stellar reputation for having products that fail when you need them the most, I have a sneaking suspicion that this charger will out-live the tools by a pretty fair margin.
