Thorbolt MD1 doorknob lock is a fantastic addition to my home. It’s convenient and adds security, allowing quick access with just a fingerprint. Not to mention you can also use the keypad if you’re wearing gloves or the key if the batteries go dead while you’re away on vacation. Installation was quick and easy.

We had a need to secure several interior doors and wanted a combination door handle that doesn't require a key. I was so pleased with this product that I ordered five and they have all worked consistently well. All my installations were replacements so I was able to save the original strike plate and I didn't have to use the supplied guide to make a strike plate. After figuring out that the assembly required disassembly first I went from 45 minutes on the first install to 10 minutes each.As shown in the photos the unit comes fully assembled and has back-up keys along with a strike plate if needed and templates when boring the door hole. It's very important that the door is the correct size as cited, and to adjust the screws with a manual phillips head and not an electric screwdriver in order to avoid over-screwing. The handle is made from sturdy material and it not likely to break without a lot of effort.The four AA batteries that are not included make the keys light up whenever touched making it easy to enter the combination in minimal light. Finally, it can be set up to use a finger print, which I haven't done. If I have problems doing that I'll update this review, otherwise, my opinion is that the user will be very happy with this product. Each the internal and external knobs extend three inches from the door.

I've owned several electric door knobs and door bolts. The reigning narrative of each of them has always been hit or miss fingerprint recognition or not actuating open each time.This one works rather well. The built quality feels nice and robust when using it. I first registered my thumb, over time I found the index finger ergonomically made the most sense. This knob does an excellent job registering my finger and opening. The only time I have an issue is if my finger is wet or has moisture. That's not the knobs fault.We cannot expect this to be secure and open no matter the conditions.This door knob, I despise the shape in some ways. Wait until the door is open and you walk into it with your hip. This hasn't happened much, but there is a reason door knobs have a rounded shape. A blunt object protruding into the walkway isn't necessary a smart idea. However, it's tolerable.Overall, this is the best electric doorknob I have used. I recommend it and would buy again.

This is a great product. I was skeptical at first but decided to try it out. Once I received it, I looked up install and review videos, although it came with simple instructions. It does everything they say it does and I love it!

We got it for our bedroom door and it works perfectly no problems at all and easy installation!
