The valve opens in the wrong direction . I saw in the product review that this has happened to other customers also. How do I get a refund

With this 3 hole deck mount setup, the cold water valve should turn clockwise to turn on, which it does, but the hot water valve should turn counter clockwise to turn on, which is does not. Pulled out the valve, since normally you can switch the direction, but this valve is set to only be able to turn one way. Not sure if the wrong valve was sent or the hot and cold handles always turn clockwise with this faucet.
