The actual reason I ordered this ribbon was because I needed a better way to hang a green screen for video production. I was using spring clamps that attached to a frame and specific points and it was causing an awful lot of wrinkles. I thought it would hang much more evenly if I could insert the top rod through a long pocket, like a curtain, to distribute all of its weight evenly so I needed a long strip of green fabric to attach. This seemed like the perfect product and the color matches pretty closely. It's a lot more shiny than the green screen material, being satin, but I can crop it out of the video clip pretty easily if it turns out to be a problem. It's light weight, and durable, and not wrinkly, and since I need less than half of it for that purpose, now I have a bunch of classy ribbon for decorating those special Christmas presents. I noticed that it is pretty stable too, it's not stretchy lengthwise, nor along its width, and it doesn't curl when you try to pull on it. That is something I was hoping for since I'm trying to eliminate wrinkles, it's the perfect product and I'm glad I found this, thank you very much.

Ruban de satin de belle qualité que j'ai utilisé pour le tour d'une doudou de bébé. La largeur est idéale et il est facile d'utilisation avec du polard.

Decently priced, although it wasn't exactly four inches (more like 3 3/4), but still serviceable. With bows and such the offcut isn't that important.If you're looking for exactly 4 inches wide, this might not be for you. Would make great bows or hem inlay or lining where exact measurements aren't as important.Also, a great color selection is available for ordering. I can recommend it with reservation.
But does it come in Purple?

Coke bottle for size reference-- I bought this to add detail to a red dress and make matching accessories. It's a nice flat stretch free ribbon with a silky side and a less silky side. This generously size roll will make a LOT of projects
