This thing makes the best baked potato ever. So, much better than just sticking your potato in one of those special microwave bags or wrapping in paper towel to microwave. My potato would either not be done on the inside or turn crispy and hard on the outside. And baking in the oven takes forever.This little microwave potato cooker makes them perfect. They make the perfect potato texture and they are nice and creamy and no hard skin. It is a little smaller than I pictured but you can easily fit 2 large baking potatoes or 3 medium size potatoes with no problem.I cooked 1 large potato for 6 min and let set 2 min and was perfect.I cooked 2 large potatoes for 10 min and let set 2 min and also perfectly cooked.I am not sure about cleaning in the dishwasher as it was easy to just quickly hand wash and put back in the box to store away. My dishwasher seems to warp everything so didn’t want to temped fate as the cooker is not a very thick material but it seems sturdy.

For years I used small cloth steamer bags to cook potatoes in the microwave. The potatoes cooked well , but the bags eventually wore out and actually became a fire hazard. This potato cooker does the job the bags did, but even better, and less dangerously! Incredibly simple; scrub the potatoes, put them in this gadget for 5-6 minutes per potato, and eureka! Fluffy, perfectly cooked baked potatoes (with no danger of fire!) I’ve cooked three at a time this way, many times, and couldn’t have asked for better results!

I love this gadget because it makes my jacket potatoes nice and fluffyinside. The only problem is if the potatos are too large for the lid toclose. I just cut the potato in half length wise and I can close the lid.

Works well. But I have brough potatoes from four different stores and all have some rotten ones in the bag. Nothing like waiting froma potatoe to be cooked, slicing it open and finding rot in the inside,
