I filled this container with water with the sealant lid on and turned it upside down and left it like that for 2 hours. The result? No water leak. Good.A couple of gripes: The 'Coffee' logo is not visually appealing; I'd rather have it slick black with no frills but for that I had to fork out an extra $10.00 and it wasn't worth it. Another one is the quality of the plastic material. It feels cheap and easily breakable. Tapping it with a chopstick makes a reverberating clanking sound that screams "if you drop me, there's no second chance to see me again". Because of the girth and my smallish hands, I don't doubt that I will definitely drop it someday. It is best used as a stationary container but if that is not possible you'll risk breaking it in no time.Because of the successful sealant function I believe it'll keep coffee beans fresher than other non-sealing containers. Make sure to fill the container no less than half of its capable volume since it is not vacuum sealed and it will retain however much air it traps.

I've purchased two vacuum containers in the past and while they were OK, I had the feeling there had to be something better. Well, CoffeeVac isn't just better, it's leaps and bounds better than the vacuum containers I purchased in the past. CoffeeVac is easy to handle and when it's sealed, it's sealed. While pressing the button on the side of the container and lowering the top, you can hear the air leaving the container. My coffee remains fresh, and I'm thinking of getting a second one for my teas.

Es de plastico que se ve un poco fragil se se cae. El efecto de vacío funciona de maravilla, así que para conservar el café cuando no lo vas a usar por unas semanas, está excelente.

This is not a true vacuum container. It would only work properly if it's full of contents, as it only pushes out a small amount air when you put the lid on. If there's, for example, half a jar of coffee beans then you will still half just under half a jar full of air. So basically this container is ueeless and the descriptions are totally misleading.
