I bought it more than 5 years ago and still use it at least twice a year. Needs low maintenance. The only problem is when you need to move the legs, they will fall apart, so do not move the legs after you start cooking, just adjust the chain up and down but do not move the legs!

Bought these for our farm stay guests to use over a propane fire. Works perfect! The guests love them.

Took this backwoods camping and it worked like a dream.Was lightweight and very easy to set up and use.Would be perfect if it came with a bag to carry the legs in so it all stays together.

Perfect! And assembly is snap - a four year old could do it! The tripod and grill are quite lightweight and compact, just what you need for a camping accessory! The grill, which is suspended from the mid-point of the tripod, can be raised or lowered with one hand to regulate temperature. Another nice thing about this is you can cook right on the grill or use the grill surface to hold a pot or pan. We also tried using it to hang a lantern - which was very effective. This is a clever product, inexpensive, lightweight and disassembles to be compact.

I've used this on numerous trips and its works fantastically. You can set it up over the ringed fire pits that you get at many sites, or put it on top of the rocks of the U shaped pits you find on other sites, or pretty much anywhere. The general idea is that you move the grill up or down depending on the size of the flame. This is particularly handy when you’ve got the perfect coals to cook over and someone annoying throws more logs on the fire when you went to grab another beer.Another hint is that when the fire gets too hot to adjust the grill chain with your hand, you can use a spatula and tongs together to adjust the chain height at a distance. Also if the fire is uneven you can spin the grill like a glass plate at the bottom a microwave so the fire doesn't burn the food on one side of the grill.One downside of the grill is that if the fire gets to hot, the elastic holding the legs together will melt. Easy to fix though, just bring along some elastic paracord and knot one end and feed it through.
