Sehr hochwertig, schweres Gewicht. Habe ihn inzwischen seit über 2 Jahren und nach ca. 30 Zigarren schneidet er immernoch messerscharf!

If ever there was a "like a pro" to cut the end of the cigar. There are several schools of thought: stright cut or v-cut, it's all a matter of taste. A year ago I offered this cutter to a friend who is a regular cigar smoker and he has been cherishing it since then. After cutting hundreds of cigars, it still provides a sharp cut.

My friend purchased this cutter and I used it over at his house. Purchased my own as soon as I got home. Cut cigar very well in a V shape. If you are a heavy saliva person when smoking and plug up your cigars, then this is the cutter for you. Very happy with this purchase.

I've had this cutter for all of 6 hours but I already feel compelled to write a review. I'm a novice cigar smoker, been smoking for about a year. When I became aware of V-cutters early on, I immediately found it to be the perfect cut for my needs. I purchased a cheap, plastic Vertigo V and guillotine cutter from a local liquor store with a cigar shop. The cutter was, needless to say, just alright. The "V" cut from the Vertigo was more like a mild, shallow U. At the time, I thought it was fine; and it was, it got the job done.I became aware of Colibri when I discovered they sold a V-cutter torch combo, the "Quantum". At $160, I'll buy it when I feel I have a $160 to spend... which unfortunately isn't now. A few weeks ago, I was at a cigar shop picking up a few cigars, and I began talking to the owner, picking his brain about all things cigars as I unfortunately have no one else to discuss these things with aside from online research. I asked him about the multitude of cutters he had out on the counter, I expressed how I prefer a V cut and he agreed it was his preference as well. Long story short, I cut the one (and then the rest) of my cigars with this Colibri, and I was amazed. For starters, this cutter looks sexy. It has a sort of weight to it that when even a non cigar smoker picks it up, they'd think to themselves "wow, this thing is quality." Flip the switch on it and the spring releases, popping open smoothly with that sort of satisfying click noise that makes you want to do it over and over, just to feel and hear it again. Most importantly, the cut: it's extremely sharp, and the elongated, angled blade ensures a nice smooth slice of a cut as opposed to the flat chop of cheaper cutters which leave a butchered finish. This Colibri produces a deep, crisp, impressive cut really makes you say, "wow, that is nice." Imagine Pacmans mouth on the end of your cigar. Little to nothing is left to clean/pick off, just a picturesque cut leaving plenty of surface area for an effortless draw.
