The legendary design from Columbia! This button down is something else. First, if you're between sizes, conducer ordering the size down...this runs big.We live in the southwest, sunny almost year round and this has the Omni-Shade UPF 40 sun protection.A synthetic made fabric, but truly state of the art, in design, comfort and quality!Button-down collar is a bonus.Has vents, which is super cool.Has the ability to Roll-up the sleeves and you can clip in place! Fantastic!Nice Pockets with hooks!Final thoughts!✔️Roll up sleeves✔️Looks fantastic✔️Button down collar✔️Omni Shade sun protection technology➖Runs big, consider ordering the size down if you're in between sizes!

I own several long sleeve Columbia adventure outdoor shirts that are vented in the back with a “cape” which means part of the back fabric can move away from the body and a mesh is in contact with the wearer’s back. This shirt has the Columbia PFG tag for “Professional Fishing Gear”. This shirt does not have some features that I would expect for a shirt targeting “Fishing” customers. The collar is only standard size, not extra tall or expandable to be taller than usual. Second on the front of shirt there is only one “loop” for attaching or clipping in accessories.This shirt has the standard inner loops for fastening your rolled up sleeves in place. Pockets (which to me are a bit small) have a flat with Velcro to fasten it down. The back side provides ventilation not with a cape, but via back fabric over inner mesh and there is a long vertical vent on both the left and right side of the “torso” of the shirt. The vents start under the yoke and run down half of the length of the back. My guess is that as heat rises, this orientation of the air vents instead of a “cape” design might be better at venting out body heat. This shirts uses a light polyester fabric (the label lists “Chemise ML”) that has visible thicker treads and intervals to form a cross hatch pattern. The sewing and workmanship is very high. All button holes worked and the buttons are a good size. All inner seams have a lock over stitch. The sizing and fit is as expected. This shirt is a normal cut, meaning body to weight ratio is in normal ranges. For me the sleeves are a bit long. As I specifically want a shirt like this to provide me with maximum coverage from the sun, the length on the sleeves is fine. The shirt is listed as having a sun protection factor of 40.

The black color hides dirt well, though it does soak up heat slightly more than lighter shades.The small size fits true to Columbia’s usual sizing (snug for a 38" chest), but the cut is boxier than expected, making it feel a tad bulky if you’re lean. Roll-up sleeves with button tabs are handy for airflow, and the articulated shoulders allow free movement while casting. The two chest pockets are roomy for tackle or a phone, but lack drainage grommets fine for dry storage, not wet gear

Came across this shirt while browsing and figured I would give it a go…Here are my thoughts:The shirt arrived quickly and was packaged in a manner that would lead one to believe it was ready to go on a retail shelf.The shirt is comfortable, fits well and is typical quality for the brand. I specifically love how you can wash these shirts over and over and they do not fade.Highly recommend!

I have several of this exact shirt in different colors. I love the rollup sleeves and the vented back. This shirt is so comfortable on a hot day on the boat but nice enough to wear around town. I'm a big fan of PFG items, and this particular shirt has the quality, comfort and style I've come to expect.
