I like the design of this kit. The plastic isn't brittle, and the wire is very flexible.Perfect for my needs as a bonding wire disconnect on my portable generator.

I purchased the **JacEnergy Anderson Connector, 8AWG 50AMP Battery Quick Connect/Disconnect Connector** to replace the one that went bad on my winch system. Initially, I was unsure about the build quality, but so far, it seems to be working as advertised. The installation was straightforward, and the connector is doing its job of providing a secure, quick connect/disconnect for the battery cables. It's a good replacement for the old connector, but I'll need more time to assess its durability. I'll update my review if I run into any issues down the line. For now, it looks like a solid replacement.

Crap. Only one size has cables, they ate TINY connectors, and dont match what I already have.

These are smaller Anderson connectors, only 1 3/8" wide and designed for 50A of current.Not sufficient amp rating for starting or jumping batteries, these would be suitable for lower power accessories or charging plugs. One might be able to use for a smaller motorcycle battery to allow easy winter removal.I can't see how this receptacle cover is moisture proof, there is no rubber or o-ring seal on the lid. I live on an island, and moist salt air gets everywhere. I keep this style of connector lubricated and protected with a dielectric grease.Advertised as a 2-pack, there is no pair of outlet covers in the kit. One Anderson plug comes loose with bare lugs and one comes with ring terminated wires attached and with a mount/cover. The wire lugs can be easily removed and rearranged by depressing the spring with a small screwdriver or similar.The attached wire is very flexible 8AWG copper. It feels like a quality silicone sheath rather than PVC jacket. I don't think it's a bad price for the kit, but I'd hardly call it a 2-pack since there is little symmetry to halve the single plug/outlet kit.

This is nice kit - the made up cable with the panel mount is well made and ready to be installed.The bathing connector is provided with the lugs and housing to put on what ever cable you need it on.These seem to fit fine with my other Anderson Brand connectors - probably should be labeled as "Anderson style" connectors but they do mate without a problem and seem well made.The fact that the kit already has the leads assembled and one connector made up and mounted saves time.50A isn't a lot of power compared to what a large battery can produce - especially when jumping another vehicle or during starting of larger engines - so overload these - they make the larger ones when you need more powerFor the price, the kit is hard to beat.
