Completely made of tough black ABS plastic except for the metal post that locks strainer into closed position. No more peeling black paint from the old metal unit I had in my sinks before. Good quality and looks good too.

My husband put this in for me and it matches our sink real nice it is easy to install and works great.

I typically do not like water fixtures that are plastic, however, where we are on well water, brass is quickly destroyed by low PH well water. The drain and stopper are black matte metal, but I believe it is stainless and hopefully will hold up. The strainer just pushes in and closes tightly, easy pull out to open and or remove to clean.
