Von mir, absolute Kaufempfehlung.(MfG A.S.)

I really really really really like this. I've had 4 corsair Survivors and they've all been good except for one that corrupted after a year. This unit is similarly rugged - it actually feels heavy. No o-ring to keep moisture and grit from getting into the cap, but there is a silicon lining in the cap that does that job unless the key is under a lot of duress. Someone is selling 3D printable caps on etsy if you loose yours. A drive with a cap was essential for me - it always being stored in pockets along with lint, dirt, sand, keys, whatever. The threads on the Survivor caps get worn after time - this one's cap has no threads. It feels....luxury. And solid.I very much like the idea that it has S.M.A.R.T. monitoring - like a hard drive. And TRIM, which should help keep it well configured, I hope. Mine has been through a few neighbourhood-wide power failures so far, with no issues. I haven't tested speed because that's unnecessary for me.Be cautioned that it's both wide and heavy. When I was using my Corsair Survivors, I learned that a good trick is a USB3 extension cable or a hub - it means I'm plugging the drive into a cable or a hub, not into my laptop's USB port, every day, until I start wearing down the tightness of the port.I'm definitely happy. I buy a lot of stuff, for work and elsewhere, and rarely this happy with something I've bought. So I gave up 15mins of my life to Corsair to write this. Oh yeah. 5yr warranty also.**EDIT JUNE 2022 (NINE MONTHS LATER)**I'm still using this every day. I move files from home to work, edit them on the stick. I never need to move large GB files so I wouldn't know anything about that but as a daily driver for my excel, word processing, PDFs, storing stuff I've found off the net, it's been brilliant. Seal on the cap is still excellent with no sign of deterioration. The paint is getting worn and thin and a little scratched off and it looks like some piece of military equipment, actually kind of cool. With the cap on, it just gets tossed around. Stood on it in the dark a couple of times by accident. Also - love the weight.**EDIT NOV 2022 (THIRTEEN MONTHS LATER)**Was thinking about buying the 512GB version one of these (I own the 256GB) and read the first few lines of this review on Amazon and thought "wow that is exactly how I feel also"....then realized it was my own review. This continues to be one of the most useful items I own. I keep my files on the stick and backup to a hard disk that syncs to OneDrive, so I have multiple backups in case I lose/destroy it. But the stick is the master copy - so if internet/power is out or I'm in an airport/train station without good internet, everything I need is there with me. Again, one of the most useful things I own and a year later I'm thinking of buying a larger one.**EDIT OCTOBER 2023 (2 years + 1 month after purchase)**I still plug this into my work computer every morning and into a home computer every night and it's still going strong. I had expected the cap to get loose after time. Nope. I thought the connector might start getting worn. Nope. The metal case has taken a beating which just makes it look tougher.People tell me "just keep your files in the cloud" but when I'm travelling (frequently) or on public transit (also frequently) my Corsair is essential. It protects me from sketchy unreliable public WiFi as well as the odd sketchy fellow traveller or commuter who might be trying to hack public WiFi.It has survived power failures and crashed computers. To be cautious, I always dismount it before powering down a computer, instead of powering down and unplugging it later.

I had been looking for a usb stick of this calibar for a while and after some research I dicided to go with the Corsair 512GB USB 3.1 Voyager GTX and wow! This thing is a beast of a USB... Actually, it's more of an SSD squeezed down into the size of a USB flash drive, the build quality is instantly noticeable with be being incased in solid zinc alloy which gives it a nice weighty feel compared to the flimsy plastic usb drives we are all used to, its super fast! Ssd type speeds although when moving lots of large files in bulk I did notice a dip but it still blows all other usb drives I've used out the water, also when transfering larg bulk files it hearts up but nothing major it can still be handled no problem...Pros:It's fast, very fast, its ssd fast, its an ssd! It's ssd storage in a USB stick! It's a quality solid buil, the solid zinc alloy may actually be a heat sink! It's got 5 years warranty! Wowzers!Cons:It's expensive! (worth it imo)It's a little bulky compared to other USBs so could overlap some other usb ports on devices (I use a USB hub so no issues here)Don't lose the USB cap! (it fits snug)It heats up under load (can still easily be handled)Got a bit carried away with this review haha but hopefully some people find it helpful.Peace out nerdlings...

Muy grande su tamaño ya que impide usar otro puerto usb que esté pegado a la entrada donde se conecte, buen material se ve resistente , muy rápido en lectura y grabación datos

I bought this disk on key after a SanDisk SDCZ880-256G-G46 Extreme PRO 256GB USB 3.1 Solid State Flash Drive died within a few months of light use. I looked for the disk on key with the largest storage, good performance, and pocketability, and got all three. It isn't as fast as an SSD, but it is at least 10x faster than similar products, e.g. Kingston Digital HyperX Savage, for both large and small files, and goes into my jean's small pocket. It is large and heavy for a disk on key, but I don't notice it in my small jeans pocket. Its just solid.Price per GB, the 1TB is about the same as the SanDisk (4x storage, 4x price), and it's smaller brothers. At the moment, it costs about twice as much as a 1TB Samsung T5 SSD, which is the price of size. Its a personal preference, and that's mine.____________ Later addition, December 2024 ____________I have two Corsair GTX flash drives for 4+ years. I use them as semi-backups, and had terabytes written to them. Both are working as usual, starting fast, then stabilize at 80MB/s. I love how reliable they are.____________ Later addition ____________There's a common complaint about flash drives being that the advertised drive size is larger than the size displayed by OS such as Windows. It is a bluff by all manufacturers, so I think its worth an explanation.Operating systems display drive size with GB = 1024^3 bytes. Manufacturers advertise drive size with GB = 1000^3 bytes. The smaller GB allows for a larger number next to it. For any flash drive by any manufacturers, if the flash drive size is advertised in GB, expect the drive size displayed by the operating system to be ~7% smaller than the advertised size.
