I bought these to cut the super long wire that was poking my daughters cheek. Easy to use. Great quality and a great purchase.

My teenage stepdaughter has braces. The last few times they were tightened by the orthodontist, a small amount of wife has been left to poke her cheeks. It's not significant in length, but it tears up her mouth and is very painful while also leading to canker sores. The late day for the ortho is always a Friday and he doesn't work weekends. I can't explain why she doesn't notice it until hours later as I'm sure he would have snipped them had he known there was an issue. That's where we find ourselves, however, and I need to deal with the situation. The first time I had to snip this troublesome piece of wire, I had to dig through the old toolbox and settled on a mini set of side cutters. The angle of the snips was wrong which made them hard to position without bumping her teeth. The other problem was one of leverage. The short footprint made it difficult to push down hard enough to cut the wire. I decided to look for the right tool for the job. Look no further as these are the ones. They're all stainless so I can do my best to keep them sanitized. They cut with much less force and the angled head is just about perfect. I don't know that you could do it yourself. If you're brave enough and have proper dexterity the maybe. For using on someone else, I highly recommend.
