I bought this gadget to register my new battery for my BMW 535i. I watched a quick video on Utube to get an idea on how to use it and it took me 5 minutes to register my battery. The dealership wanted to charge me anywhere from $100 to $150. just to register the battery . I really love this gadget, it can also do other things.

The Creator C420 OBD2 Scanner is a decent handheld device that is easy to install and gives you an immediate readout on your BMW's (or Mini) health. The screen is backlit, so it is easy to read, and there are different functions you can perform.The scanner is helpful, and it beats going to the dealer to have them run a diagnostic for $150 to tell you what is wrong. However, there are some confusing features on the scanner that seem to give a false positive and some that do not appear to apply to my BMW 430i Gran Coupe. In the diagnostic, the scanner reported a fault on the rear driver-side power window relay, but the window works fine. It also reported a problem with "turn signal plausibility", whatever that is, but the turn signals work just fine.The check-engine light has never come on, so I don't think there is anything wrong, but the diagnostic shows 6 different faults. Several of the features in the scanner report "this function does not apply to this vehicle".Overall I'm satisfied with this handy scanner device. At some point, when I do maintenance on the car, or if there is ever a CEL I'll get a lot of use out of this.

This is a handy little tool! Saves a ton of time and money for⁷things I'd normally have to take my BMW to the dealer or a certified shop.. It even registers a new battery which alone saves a couple hundred bucks! I'm still playing around with it... but so far it's great! Especially at this price !

This is my first OBD Reader so I have to admit that I’m not that familiar with its usage. Also the software is designed to work mostly on BMWs. With that said, the description also says it will work with most other vehicles as well. After plugging it into my Lexus OBD Port it powered up immediately. After going through the screens the information that It was providing was very limited. Also the F1 Button beeped but didn’t have any function. I contacted the Seller several times & their responses were extremely prompt. It appears it is more functional for BMWs as they are still developing more software. That is one of the reasons the f1 Button doesn’t do anything. It is made very well & the color Display is quite nice. Unfortunately it has little or no use for the vehicles I have…not to the fault of the Seller.
