The Valk is a legendary 3x3 that has set many records, notably by the person that it was named after: Mats Valk. The (factory-installed magnets) Valk M was introduced a few years back after when magnetized cubes became much more popular than regular cubes without magnets, especially after a customized version of the non-magnetic Valk 3 with magnets first introduced by TheCubicle became exceedingly popular in 2016, and even in 2023, I can still consider recommending this cube to a few cubers.The cube has a very blocky feel and a satisfying hollow sound that is iconic to the cube. The cube comes pre-lubricated for cubers to be able to enjoy it straight out of the box without having to set it up yet and a plastic box which it comes in to protect it. As previously mentioned, it performs very well for a cube that is over 5 years old, and although it may not be the best speedcube in the current age of speedcubing, it is still a great puzzle to recommend to any cuber, especially those that like older-style puzzles and blocky cubes.

Hace muy buen corte de esquina, algunos se quejan de que viene demasiado lubricado el mío llegó lo necesariamente lubricado y se agradece, tiene un giro muy suave, lo que no me gusto es que no venía con ninguna calcomanía 😔😐

i was getting back into speedcubing and i needed a new cube. i was using a QiYi thunderclap and averaging about 32 seconds. i did some research and decided to buy the valk 3 m. definitely a great decision. the cube was fantastic out of the box and my times improved immediately. it's kind of heavy, but it's suuper smooth and stable. corner cutting is very good and you can manipulate how fast the layers turn by using different lubes. my average dropped from 32 to 22 over the course of about 4 months using this cube. a few days ago i pulled 15 second personal single. this cube is great for any level of cuber, whether you're just getting into speed cubing or you have been speedcubing for years.

Love it. Sturdy. My five year old runs off with my speed cubes often and this one isn’t as fragile as my Weilong GTS 2M 3x3. Came out of the box stiff but it has adjustable tension so that wasn’t a problem.

Liked - smooth movement - the more I used it, the more I liked it.Disliked - I thought the magnets would be a positive "lock" in position - they are not, but they help somewhat.I haven't lubricated the cube yet - that may help.My other cubes are:- the original 1980's Rubik's cube (this is away better! - as are any of the modern cubes)- the current standard Rubik's brand cube - the Valk3M is a lot smoother to turn- the current Rubik's brand Speed Cube - which is much smoother than the standard cube & I really liked it, but tended to overshoot my turns. The Valk3M has a very different feel - difficult to get used to initially - but the more I used it the more I like it.Note - I'm 70 yr old and came back to cubing 6 mo ago to help my 9 yr old grandson - been having a lot of fun.I use a modified beginner's method & my average solve times were about 3 min. Since using the Valk3M that average time has decreased to 2 1/2 minutes, and a best ever time of 1 min 58sec. So I am not a wiz speed cuber with solves under 20 sec. I really like this cube - it is a pleasure to use.
