This 4" dryer vent, mostly for the wall, is simple and effective. I have been running into clogged dryer vents which are mostly the vinyl louvered ones with a mesh screen. The mesh screens are a problem for catching lint frequently and ultimately they could clog the whole system. Clogged dryer vent causes the dryer to run less efficiently and ultimately failure in components. This vent is simple with a well sealed flapper. Once it's open, it opens wide and not catch lint. It's a nice replacement for very reasonable price.

For a dryer vent it is easy to clean and looks clean and modern and does not look like cheap short lived plastic and is easy to install.

We recently had a momma bird break through our plastic louvre and filled our dryer vent all the way back to the dryer flex hose. After spending hours in the attic removing vent, cleaning, and retapping I decided to try a nice metal louvre. I am very happy with my purchase. The quality of the build is great! It opens fully when the dryer is on and has an air tight seal when the dryer is off.Only thing I noticed wrong was the measurement of where is supposed to to fit in the vent pipe, the louvre is CM to big and I had to flare out my vent pipe but do big deal! I no longer have a nest of bird in my vent.If you are looking for a nice looking louvre for you dryer vent I highly recommend this one! It’s very nicely made of this sheet metal and seals great. For the price I’d pick metal all day over cheap plastic that’s gonna change color over time.It is super easy to install just unscrew the old one and push in the new one, it has tabs on it to lock it in place then comes with screws to make it extra secure.If I had more houses I would buy more and put them on all my houses!
