3M Stripe Off Wheel
The 3M Stripe Off Wheel was designed for high-speed removal of vinyl, decals, tape, graphics and double sided molding striping and trim. 3M engineered this wheel to help operators achieve effective and efficient decal removal without damaging the surface below.
The 3M Stripe Off Wheel moves in a rapid, circular motion to remove unwanted decals and stripes. The solid molded wheel rids the substrate of decals with friction, instead of abrasives, thereby preventing scratching and damage to the substrate. The wheel can be used at a Max RPM of 4,000. Operators should note that it is important not to exceed the maximum operating speed, because it may compromise the product's performance. Additionally, operators should ensure that the substrate is not heat sensitive, as repeated friction will create heat.

Used to remove old decals on classic stand up Jetskis. Works great. Won’t burn the paint / gel coat if you dont go too fast and create too much heat. Saved a ton of effort scraping and looks better than any other method I tried.

The product only came with the 3m wheel and the centre tool adapter was missing. I had to improvise and make my own adapter and then the tool worked great.

This is the secret to remove decals, stickers, pinstripes or adhesive residue from painted automotive surfaces. It is literally a giant eraser. I discovered this product while working at a body shop during college. I have shared it with many friends over the years and it's time I add my 2 cents here. If there is an old company decal or lettering on your vehicle - this is what you need to remove it. It won't cut/chip your paint like using a razor blade. You won't risk burning the paint like with a heat gun. If you have double sided tape left over from door trim - 3M eraser wheel. Don't want that dealer decal on your car - get out the wheel. I have the best luck with this product if I use a slow rotating speed and heavy pressure. It is hard on the drill that is used - I have a dedicated, high quality, corded drill used only for wheel'n - and its a bit of an arm workout.This product costs more than I wish it did... But I guess 3m can charge for a product that works.Whatever the 3m eraser wheel leaves behind will clean up easily with a rag and the proper solvent.
