Okay, so I'll be honest: I looked for this mainly because I don't like to wear shirts and if I'm playing for a long time, the guitar strap starts to chafe my left trap. Especially in a hot, sweaty atmosphere. Because of this, none of the homemade solutions I could think of would work. This is just perfect. In fact, it has an oddly pleasant feel to it that I didn't expect. Like, aside from the fabric having a nice texture to it, I *enjoy* having the weight there or something. I know, it's weird, but the cool thing is that this feel is there even when you can't get away with going shirtless as nature intended (dang clothing fascists). And the extra cool thing is that the strap moves freely through it, so you can move the neck up and down however you'd like (especially useful for those who really get into playing a lead or the like). This brings me to the only negative. Though the fabric has a nice-feeling texture, it won't slide off your shoulder. That's a good thing, but if somehow it does (because stuff like that happens... thanks, Murphy), you'll look like a shirtless dork (or a shirted one, if that's the case) having to take the guitar off so you can pull the strap back up and into place. It's fairly heavy and will slide all the way down the strap, so you'll probably wind up looking even more like a dork if you try to do it without taking the guitar off. You could prevent it by sewing it into the strap, but then you wouldn't be able to move the neck around like I said. But that's unlikely to happen too often because it does stay on your shoulder solidly just about always. Besides the weight and texture of it, the guitar itself adds to the weight to anchor it securely. I also find the length of it to be excellent, as well.So I definitely suggest this, particularly if you play your best when you bear your chest. (That's as witty of a conclusion as I could think of.)
