I recently signed up for beginner flamenco classes and it's been really hard to find an appropriate skirt that fits comfortably. For reference, I'm 5'6", 142 pounds, 28" waist, and the large fits slightly loose on me. It does have a drawstring, which is handy. I tried three other similar skirts on amazon, and all of them were cutting in at the waist. The quality of this skirt and the material seem pretty good, although I haven't worn it or washed it yet. Honestly, I'm just excited that I don't have to pay a seamstress to alter those other skirts, since I finally found one that fits.

If you are using this skirt for performances, you will need an under slip because the color of your undergarments will show through. Our dance troop is planning to use this for a Christmas benefit performance, and I thought the white would look very beautiful with red accessories during the holidays. All in all a very nice skirt for dancing.

Worked out well for me but my friends got the same skirt and the drawstring broke for both of them.
