I had an older model of the spyder, but its software wasn’t supported on Windows 11, so I upgraded to this one. It’s been a fantastic replacement! The color calibration is spot on, and the included software does an excellent job of retaining settings even after a reboot, which is a huge plus. I’d recommend recalibrating every couple of months to keep everything perfect. This is definitely worth it if you work with graphics and need precise colors on your screen—I’ve been using it on my triple monitor setup, and it performs flawlessly. Highly recommend!

Have heard about Spyder for ages, and finally bought this X2 for Rs.32,660.00 back in April (2024).I had to buy it because of my ASUS (TUF VG27AQL1A) monitor showing garbage colors compared to my old DELL monitor (which was designed for artists), forcing me to adjust brightness inside games and colors looking weird in Photoshop vs websites.Anyway, calibrated both my monitors (ACER is secondary monitor) and both look same. Color scheme matches, every image looks same on both monitors and I don't have to worry about brightness/gamma in-games, which you usually have to when your monitor is poorly calibrated.As a game developer, this is a must have piece of hardware. Actually, if you're using computers for gaming and editing, get Spyder and do color calibration. Everyone else can ignore this.

This is a review of the Datacolor SpyderX2 Ultra. The device works ok if you use the default calibration settings using the Spyder calibration app. However, if you try to calibrate for anything other than the default the app will crash an corrupts the display's ICC profile rendering the computer useless.I launched the Spyder X2 Ultra calibration software and selected the Display Calibration option. I changed the Target from the default Gamma 2.2 (Recommended) settings to L-Star and for the Grey Balance Calibration I selected "Better" which will take longer but provide better calibration. The software started calibration, then asked me to adjust the brightness to a as the device measured. When the brightness was within range I clicked "Continue" and the device continued its calibration. Midway through, the application froze up and sat there. I thought it was just processing so I left it for a few minutes only to return to the same screen it was on when I walked away. At this point the computer was unresponsive and I shut it down. Upon reboot, I was taken to the normal Mac login screen that looked normal. Once I logged on the screen was all white and I could see graphical aberrations on certain parts of the screen. Thinking it was just an issue since the app previously crashed, I rebooted again only to login to the same unusable display. I could not see anything just a white screen with some gray aberrations. I then shut down the computer again holding down the MacBook power button and rebooted into Safe Mode, again the same issue. Finally it dawned on me that maybe connecting my 2nd external monitor I may be able to see the 2nd screen. I was finally able to reboot, login to the same unusable display, I connected my external monitor and it displayed my Extended screen ok. I was able to get the Finder up on the 2nd display and opened the Mac Color Sync Utility and determined that the Macbook's LCD Display's ICC profile was modified during the calibration process and was corrupt. I was able to set it back to factory which allowed me to see my primary display again.For $300.00 this should NEVER happen, the software should work properly and should not crash and if it does, it should never corrupt the display's ICC profile to the point that it's unusable. I should have expected this from Datacolor. This is going back and I'm going with a Calibrite Display Pro HL after the recommendations from several colleagues after I told them of the issues I've had with the Spyder X2 Ultra.

Par exemple, vous pouvez créer un profil sRGB gamma 2.2 pour le web avec Photoshop, ou un profil Adobe RGB pour la photographie, puis basculer sur un profil Rec.709/P3 gamma 2.4 pour le montage vidéo.- CompatibilitéLa Spyder X2 Pro peut calibrer des écrans allant jusqu'à 2000 nits de luminance, en prenant en charge les espaces colorimétriques Adobe RGB et Rec.2020. Elle permet également de calibrer les couleurs pour différents types de supports d'impression, afin de faire correspondre les couleurs de l'écran avec celles du papier imprimé. Celui-ci n'étant pas détachable, il faut souvent le tirer pour placer le contrepoids, ce qui pourrait l'endommager à long terme étant donné sa finesse.- Contenu de la boîteLa boîte contient la sonde, qui se clipse dans le contrepoids pour protéger sa lentille, ainsi qu'un adaptateur USB-C vers USB-A. Le numéro de série est collé au fond de la boîte, il est donc recommandé de conserver précieusement la boîte et de prendre une photo du numéro de série.- ConclusionBien que le prix puisse sembler élevé au premier abord, la Spyder X2 Pro devient vite indispensable pour les professionnels travaillant sur des images, afin d'obtenir un rendu fidèle et sans surprise.

Ich hatte mir dieses Gerät gekauft um meinen LG C1 im PC Mode zu kalibrieren und an meinem Laptop Lenovo Yoga 7 anzupassen. Leider unterstützt Calman Home den neuen Spyder noch überhaupt nicht. Bei der neuen Calibrite Display Plus HL oder Calibrite Display Pro HL Reihe muss ein Produktionsfehler vorliegen und ich kann jeden nur vor dem Kauf dieses Produktes warnen. Dies war der Grund, dass ic mir den Spyder X2 zugelegt habe. Der erste Colorimeter von Calibrite hatte immerhin wenigstens eine Woche lang funktioniert auch wenn hier das angezeigte schon recht merkwürdig aussah. Doch jetzt der 2. Kauf des kleineren Rebranded Display pro mit einer Helligkeit von 3000 Nits hat erst gar nicht an irgendeinem Rechner funktioniert. Nicht am Macbook Pro, nicgt am Lenovo Joga und auch nicht an meinem Windoows 10 Pc mit Nvidia RTX 2080. Ich nehme schwer an das zu schwache USB Anschlüsse verbaut sind. Mir hat bei dem ersten Calibrite Gerät Windows tatsächlich eine Überspannung des USB Ports angezeigt und danach nichts mehr. Das Datacolor Gerät funktioniert einwandfrei nur die anderen Hersteller sollten jetzt mal Treiber dafür nachlegen. Auch für DisplayCal und HCFR gibt es momentan noch keine Treiberunterstützung. Es funktioniert lediglich die Kalibrierungssoftware von Datacolor, die zwar gegenüber der letzten Version des Spyder X gut verbessert wurde, aber wohl nach wie vor keiner professionellen Kalibrierungssoftware das Wasser reichen kann. Sie hat auch an meinem Laptop zum Beispiel nicht optimal funktioniert. Mein Weißpunkt hat überhaupt nicht gepasst, währendessen an meinem Windows 10 PC alles perfekt funktioniert hat. Ich finde das Gerät hat immer noch einen leichten Rotstich zumindest in der Grauskala. 1dLut Gradation. Die Farben sehen aber jetzt richtig aus gegenüber der Vorgängerversion wo wirklich alles einen Totstich hatte. Also sehr zu empfehlen für zumindest Fotografen, Designer und Grafiker, Mediengestalter die auf kalibrierte Geräte angewiesen sind. Leider nicht momentan für Fernseher zu empfehlen. Ichdenke im Endeffekt hätte der Spyder eine bessere Qualität wenn es vernünftige Treiberunterstützung mal in Zukunft gibt. Es ist immer noch besser einen Rotstich zu korrigieren als einen Blau- Grün Stich was die Calibrite Geräte leider haben. Die Standardsoftware ist zudem für einen durschnittlichen User sehr benutzerfreundlich designed was man von dieser total verbuggden CProfiler Software von Calibrite nicht behaupten kann. Das ist absoluter Schroot und wirkt von Anfang an schlampig. Soviel zu meiner ausführlichen Rezession.
