My American standard commercial touchless faucet broke after one to two years so I got this one. Both are around the same price. This faucet has more water flow, better aeration, has a way better hand sensor and the touch to turn on/ off is amazing. This took about an hour to install compared to the 45 mins the other faucet took and I don't know how long it will last but comparing month 1, it's far superior.I like the ability to bypass the touchless feature in case it breaks like the American Standard broke. I think a lot of the faucet parts in all brands are made in china. I was hoping to just pay more for a faucet that lasts a lifetime but it doesn't seem to exist.

I'll start off by saying this review is based on almost 6 years of use and four of the same model installed at the same time in our bathrooms, so that's a pretty sizeable experience. Installation was really no more difficult than any other faucet. I at first considered installing outlets under the sinks for the optional AC adapter, but after years of heavy use I've found that you only need to change the batteries every year or longer. The faucet gives you multiple weeks worth of warning when the batteries are running low, so we've never had to resort to having to (gasp!) actually use the handle to turn them off. The water temperature LED is nice and operation has been flawless. Instantly turns on or off at a touch. The finish has stayed nice and shiny, too. I initially bought these because our house has hard water from the well and the old double handle faucets we had encouraged drips of water on the handles and countertop, which were very hard to clean. With this touch faucet, your wet hands stay over the sink and there are no drips on the counter. If your hands are dirty, you can just use the back of your hand or even your arm, and none of the waving your hands around like with the IR-based touchless faucets. The faucet head is also higher than some, so it's easy to rinse off your hands or razor without touching the sink bottom.I'm not sure what was the cause of the other few reviewers' problems, but either they got a lemon or the installation was wrong. It is touch, so if you have something conductive touching it (i.e. stuff cluttered around the faucet or piled up high in the cabinet underneath such that it's touching the metal of the faucet), then of course it's going to turn on or off or not respond if the circuit is always being interrupted. We never had any of those problems, and the water does auto shut off after 1 minute (4 for the kitchen faucet) as a safety measure, but the only time that is an issue is if you're trying to wash something off. The reason for 1 minute is that is the amount of time to significantly fill up a typical bathroom sink basin, depending on house water pressure. Just touch it again to turn it on, no delay at all. And again, we have four of these (plus the kitchen sink version) and none of them have had a problem.

The Touch2O on this faucet does not work. It keeps turn on by itself when no one is near it, waste a lot of water. Most of the time, touch to turn it off does not work.

Love this faucet. Works exactly as stated and looks great. We installed in our en-suite. The touch sensor is a very nice option.
